Ramires deserves most of the credit for that goal. If you watch again....what an amazing run and pass he did to Torres in such a tight place. Amazing stuff from Rami.

I´m too young to remember Peter Osgood so the way I like to think about it now is that Zola was our best ever player in terms of sheer Maradona-esque ability.

However I think that Drogba has to be considered our greatest ever player after hugely contributing to us winning the Champions League as well as his massive contribution as a Chelsea player over the years.

Zola = the best.

Drogba = the greatest.

My point is that just about everyone in the squad (even Bosingwa, apart from maybe Essien and Romeu) played an important role and without their contribution we would never have done it.

so that's a bad example.

But yes, Drogba is the main and was probably the main reason for the victory, above everyone else.

For that reason alone he is up there among all the other legends of the club

I'm not discrediting the team and its not soley down to the Champions Leage alone.

But its a fact that Drogba saved us with 2 mins to go. Squeeky bum time, when were down and out he saved us. I only have to read BKs live match thread to see the reaction of Chelsea fans who had given up once Muller scored. I even gave up hope myself.

As good as Matas corner was the quality in Drogbas header was phenomenal. So I disagree about 'bad example'.

That was a low point. I remember saying some pretty awful things in the heat of the moment which I totally regret .

I was a nervous wreck during that Final and all I can remember is that at times I felt I was going to suffer a nervous breakdown.

No need for regret. You can't predict the future and we did look down and out. I was cursing Drogba when he gave away the pen.

We all felt like nervous wreck, just thank god that DD and Cech along with the rest of the lads dug us out and made us European Champions

Zola still the best ever Chelsea player.

We now have our own holy trinity even though they did not play together.
