We all know that the club was within 4hrs of going out of business, If Bates hadnt made his bid for us a 8am that (one of the worst days of my life, the uncertainty of what was going to happen to LEEDS) Friday morning we would no be no more.
Would the fan have started a new club, the same as Wimbledon FC. would Elland road be housing or a shopping centre.
If the above had happened what would you be doing, Supporting the new team?, Supporting another team, or would you forget football and support LEEDS RHINOS/TYKES. or start knitting
To me i sat and thought about it, yes id support the new Leeds, but would it give me the same buzz, What would we talk about Mon morning at work, The feeling you get with the build up to the game, there nothing like it

madness, your article is in incorrect. Krasner was mid way through negotiation with a group to buy Leeds, Bates interrupted that deal.
Had he not turned up, we would have been sold to the other group.

Personally I'd support any club in Leeds with the name Leeds United!
There's two or three (oh ok then two) that would go and support any club that would have them and that would put up with their less than cheery disposition! Bradford City probably.
