To me it says that it has fallen through because, if a high profile Kuwaiti businessman was to take over he would have his own main sponsor lined up.

Basically, the club will be able to negotiate with any potential sponsor if the owners, in this case, the Doughty family have approved it. Doesn't mean that the club is not up for sale. I was aware of this over a month ago when my son wanted a VC sponsored Red shirt and I was told VC wouldn't be sponsoring us next year and that there is a new Red shirt out in August
