France set up

The France set up was completely wrong yesterday, their team could be so much better it's painful. Benzema can't play up front on his own like that, he just never seems to be in the box. The defence also looks so cumbersome with Rami and Mexes at the back. The team I'd go with would be:

.....................................Lloris...........................
Debuchy.......Koscielny.......Rami...........Evra
.........................M'Vila.......Cabaye.................
Nasri........................Benzema.............Ribery
..................................Giroud............................

I'm not too sure what Malouda's role was yesterday but it is definitely dispensable for the sake of a bit more attacking power.

Debuchy leaves too many gaps, Sagna is a better defender for me.

Nasri was good I thought, you could tell that England were worried about him. It's just England were quite solid which prevented him from really creating.

Mexes played well, Rami looked weak. I'd have Kos over him.

Sagna is a reliable RB but hes not a special RB this Debuchy guy looks amazing he can defend, score goals, create goals, run at players, hes got skill, great crosser and hes got electric pace

He was a defensive midfielder hes been converted hes starting to look the part

Nasri looked a threat roaming around but he didnt do anything in the final third

He had so much of the ball yet France hardly had any shots

It was just long range efforts

Your playmaker has got to find a way through

Debuchy isn't that good at defending, I don't give a monkey's if he scores goals. Sagna is a better defender and Ox would have got nothing out of him.

Sagna isnt a great defender did you not see him against Wigan?

Victor Moses tore him to pieces.

When players start running at Sagna hes vulernable but most of the time we have the ball hes always making long bursting runs so we hardly ever see him defend

Everyone gets torn to pieces sometimes. When Debuchy moves to United or Newcastle I'm sure he'll get ripped apart several times.

John

Nasri was not good. Loads of fancy footwork like usual but slows the play down so much. He takes far too many unnecessary touches with the ball.

I like the OP team though I'd have Benzema up top. Ben Arfa replace Nasri. Martin replace Malouda.

Junior Hoillet destroyed him at Ewood park, Scott Sinclair went past him for fun at the Emirates, Kevin mirallas bullied him at the emirates for Olympiakos, Pablo Armero got the better off Sagna for Udinese at the emirates, he was terrible against Milan, poor against QPR, allowed etherington to cross the ball for Coruch to score us at Stoke, looked very poor against Liverpool at Anfield

Hes been poor imo for most of the games hes played in he had a decent spel after he came back from injury ie Bolton, Spurs, Blackburn, Sunderland (League), Newcastle but had some shockers in between those games like Milan

I don't claim to watch France too frequently - in fact, I think yesterday was the first time I have seen them this year - but Malouda's place in the team was seemingly to allow for Evra to push forward.

None of the central midfield of France were relied on too heavily from a creative standpoint; instead, Cabaye and Malouda seemed to be asked to be prepared to cover the channel vacated when Evra and/or Debuchy went forward.
With the full-backs providing width, Ribery and Nasri were given more freedom to roam.

Malouda's performance wasn't spectacular, but I imagine he did what was asked of him to a decent standard.
