Only player to beat nadull at RG has been missing from the action since July 2011. It has been an unfortunate injury which took Soderling out for so long. Tennis has missed him, his fans have missed him. A fighter on the court and nice guy off the court is his facebook signature and how appropriate.

Although no clear news yet but Sod will miss the Wimby and Olympics which is a shame.
Soderling was no. 5 before he got injured, I hope he comes back soon and challenges top 4 once again.
Good luck Robin!
The return of Soderling

HB- it could have been possible that Sod thought that it was the real mark.
Anyways, did you enjoy the RG final?

HB, welcome back!
How was your trip? Did you stay there for Monday's conclusion too?

Just checked the Soderling clip. I am definitely with HB on that one. That is just too hilarious. The mark he is pointing at is miles away from where the ball landed and miles away from where he was initially going to look for the mark.
But it does show you that (some) athletes are willing to go quite far with these kinds of antics. It should not be a big surprise to anyone who watches soccer (and one is dreaming if one thinks tennis will be immune from similar stuff).

One can only think that Soderling was genuinely mistaken, because if not, he should be hugely embarrassed about that.
It's really uplifting to see sportsmanship in the game especially when cheating/bad calls are so rife in the kids game.

9 seconds - where the ball lands
13 seconds - Soderling walks to the mark, but presumably realises it's in
14 seconds - Soderling cheatingly points to another mark
1.11-1.18 embarrassing replay of the above

That's nothing! Some break the rule on every single point.

Having watched the whole clip now, one can only think he was cheating!

BTW, HB, of all the things to write about after spending the last weekend in Paris watching tennis you reduce your soul to this....

HB, clips of Soderling are fine - and in this case quite funny - but let's face it, right now the most interesting thing about you is how your RG experience went. We have not yet heard any of it. How come?
