With Redknapp looking to be on his way out of Spurs do you reckon this will make it easier for for United to sign Modric IF in fact we are in for him?
Im sure Levy will want to make a transfer kitty available for the incoming manager and if the right offer is made, may accept it. On the other hand the player has said hes happy in London so he may want to stay or even move to Chelsea.

yeah but are you going to pay the money we would demand.
levy wouldnt even come to the table if the offer doesnt hit 40 mill in my opinion... he is that fundamental to our team, and then you have to pay the premium for prem to prem transfer, and the levy tax on top of it

No your right, much better players out there for £40m. Fair player to Levy keeping players to their contracts though. Does make you wonder if that tactic will see future targets turn you down though.

I like how everyone still chooses to believe the rumours even though redknapp made a statement saying they were false

Given how Modric was talking last summer, it's interesting that after being effectively forced to stay he's now being so diplomatic this summer, and talking about being a spurs player etc. I do wonder if some agreement was reached at the end of last summer for one more year, and then if no CL, etc etc.
I doubt it's all because of the Euros.
Who knows, obviously just guessing.

People talk about Modric going to the highest bidder but the player holds all the aces these days, if he wants to move to United he will do regardless of what Chelsea offer, that said i've heard the same rumors as everyone else regarding Luka being happy in old London town so chelsea would clearly offer the most practical route out of WHL for him.
lol!

Oh no! This isn't good news at all. Please Levy, do not sell Modric to us.
We can use the money we have available on better players rather than the disappearing croatian

Yeah but only until Spurs decide they want rid of a player....Then we'll see how much regard they have for "contracts"!
