I think a takeover is immenent and am sure we are all dreaming of a mega-bucks owner who will plough a fortune into our club. However if this does happen can we refrain as supporters not to go down the Leicester / Notts County route of bragging about what we are going to do.
I remember Notts fans waving money at the opposing fans and remember seeing a kid in a Notts shirt with Beckham across the back.
I also was talking to a Leicester supporting workmate of mine (who is the same age as me i.e. late forties and not an excitable young kid) at the beginning of last season about how exciting the Championship is and he said 'I'm not interested in the Championship, we'll have a nice easy promotion and then we are going on to bigger and better things'
It would be easy to end up with egg on our faces.
Let's be humble

Good grief...Forest fans are unable to act humbly when they face an extinction caused by themselves...never mind if you find a rich owner...

FFP is a ridiculous notion that amounts to nothing more than a gentlemen's agreement. It can't work simply because mega-rich owners can afford better accountants than the football league. It's easy enough to get around through sponsorship deals.

You had a Mega-Rich owner and look what you did to him. Imagine how humble you will be to a Mega-rich owner who isn't a Forest fan.
I can't wait for the hipocracy.

Good point Iwas, because the history of Forest began 10 years ago when ND took over. We've not quite plumbed the depths of some of your past owners but have had ones who've been jailed for fraud, Irving Scholar and more....
Now the hypocrisy I notice is a Derby fan laughing at other clubs for moaning about their owners!

What did WE do to him?

Pretty crass comment really.

Verbally abused him and sent him rude emails that made him feel unwelcome at the club he loved.
Pretty obvious, didn't think you needed it spelling out.
