The more I think about it, the more I cannot believe what Levy and Tottenham have done!
Harry's crime was to get distracted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the England job, and he was let go.
What about dragging Tottenham from the relegation zone and transforming them into a top-four club which won universal praise for the great football they played?
I honestly feel that Levy has made an abysmal mistake which may haunt the club for a long time to come.
Still unbelievable!!

I can only assume Tottenham have Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger lined up as their next manager.

You dump one of the best and most successful managers you've ever had. I always thought dodgy Dan knew what he was doing.

Maybe he does.
However, if he's looking to appoint AVB for an improvement to team affairs, then he's off his rocker.

Harry's tactical acumen may not be as good as someone's like AVB, but his ability to inspire and bring the best out of players is top notch.
And in this day of multi-millionaire Premiership players with huge egos etc, it's all about getting them to play to potential.
These guys have financial security and so don't need to play well in order to have secure futures. If they don't like a manager and can't be bothered to play for him, it is the manager who has to leave.
We saw that with the Chelsea players and AVB. Di Matteo is not half as good as AVB, but the Chelsea players wanted to play for him.

really?
so how do you explain the whole team displaying the second worst form in the division (better than only wolves), for a full quarter of the season.
redknapp is a fairly good man manager overall, but i think he is much overated in that department, much the same way as although he is no tactical genius, he is made to be tactically a bit worse than he actually is

Chronic
This is why we judge a team on a full season, not a proportion of the season. I expect Man Utd had near-relegation form towards the end of the season, just as much as Wigan had title-challenging form towards the end.
I just dont see why we would want to swap our best ever Premiership manager for Chelsea's worst.
Its a huge clanger whatever way you want to look at it.

chronic: You can look at at a quarter of a season (when Tottenham still finished 4th). Or you can look at the four seasons he was there during which you twice finished 4th.

i mean when in the past have spurs players ever been the target of the top clubs on the continent?
dont underestimate the quality of the tools Harry has had to work with.
two 4s and a 5 = par.

=======================
Isn't this further proof that Harry gets the best out of players though?
I was debating with people on here the other day who suggested Harry doesnt deserve credit for players like Bale & Modric reaching new heights, but now you're saying he's had more quality to work with. Either he deserves credit or the previous managers should have reached the same level with the same players. You cant have it both ways.
