So Harry's gone...

You've got to feel sorry for poor old Chronic. Illusions shattered, what will he do...?

Seems Levy is trying to be the new Deadly, although Deadly always has the succession planned. Crazy decision. He's now got to attract a new manager who can pick up the pieces, which will take time; Spurs won't make the top 4 next season, and may be way off. But to get a new manager he'll need to provide funds to strengthen the squad. At the same time, Bale and Modric will be off; Levy may try to stop them, but I think he'll find that difficult. Crazy, when all he needed to do was give Harry a new contract, and funds for one or two quality players which would give them a good chance of top four again.

Bale would solve our winger problem, and Modric would give us a creative edge. What do you reckon?

Good point; Bale, Modric and Walker would do us nicely.

I am really surprised at the Spurs fans reactions, many seem to be elated that Harry has gone.

As Villa fans - we know all too well to be careful for what you wish for, having seen our clubs demise.

It's quite sad really, as I enjoyed watching spurs last season. It was much better than the tripe Mcleish served us.

Would be great tO get Walker back, maybe in exchange for Hutton

I'm surprised at the Spurs fans' reaction. It seems to be based on the notion that a new manager will just walk in and do a better job than Harry. Illusion. Spurs, like Newcastle, were punching above their weight. The difference is that the Newcastle fans and owner know it.

hello hello whats all this then.

i would not say that most spurs fans are elated.. some are... most would have given him another season (me included), but the vast majority are willing to wait to see how the new man does before passing judgement.

redknapp is a funny one... virtually everyone from outside spurs looking in thinks its a crazy decision, but very few spurs fans were surprised, and i think levy is probably justified in his action.

its only something i think you can understand if you are a spurs fan. much in the same way to me it looks like moyes is doing a fine job at everton, but i have spoken to a fair few everton fans who dont rate him much, saying that everton bottle it any time they are on the verge of doing something good.

its an interesting one.
