Because its hard enough listening to them going on about the world cup they won 50 odd years ago and I cant imagine what it would be like if they won the world cup now, with the English media and the like.

Just looked up one of the videos on You Tube of our fans last night and its hard not to feel emotional looking at it. Comments from Football fans all over the world (even Brazil) saying that they have nothing but admiration for the Irish fans.

I heard on the radio earlier that on German Tv the commentators went silent for the last few minutes in awe of our fans and to let the German viewers hear them belting out the fields of Athenry

I was actually a bit disappointed at the singing by the ROI fans. Much louder renditions of Athenry at Irish rugby matches! Earlier today in New Zealand: New Zealand 22 Ireland 19. NZ scored winner in last minute! FFS! Some people's luck just doesnt change!
