Hey could someone just confirm something for me as i know UEFA competitions sometimes have odd ranking systems for groups
In the situation both England and France win their final group games, If England were to beat Ukraine by 1 goal more than France and finish on equal GD would England finish top of group D having scored more goals (and therefore likely to avoid playing Spain in quarter finals?) or does it go down co efficient things
Topping Group D

I thought it came down to head to head record?

but we drew 1-1 so would surely go to next criteria?

Yeah then i'm guessing goals scored and then if that is the same goals conceded would have to be decided. Anyway I can't see France not winning v Sweden so it looks like we are playing Spain. Which in a way could be good as it suits RH tactics perfectly. Plus we beat them the last time we faced!

all it would take is beating Ukraine by 1 more goal than France beat Sweden, so who knows

It goes to head to head if level, as we drew it goes to gd, if gd is level it goes to goals scored.
So if we beat Ukraine 2-0 and France win 1-0 we finish top.

Yes England, we've pretty much got this tournament wrapped up, UEFA might as well hand us the trophy now

If we can get past Italy or Croatia is would more than likely set up a semi with ze Germans.

For teams on equal points:
1. Points between those teams
2. Goal difference between the teams in question (obv only come into play when 3 teams are equal points)
3. Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question (ditto)
4. Total GD
5. Most goals scored.
6. If the two equal teams are playing each other last , penalty shoot out.
7. Fair play ranking
8. Drawing of lots.

Let's see if Spain finish top first. We might not want to if they don't!
