He's always been one of my favourite players but realistically I'd rather play RVP in behind Podolski/ Giroud than reshuffle the team to accommodate an aging Arshavin and his 30 second spells of brilliance, let's let him go back to Russia where he is loved and not mocked.

the fact that he's been picking up his wages for two years while putting in zero effort and is suddenly fit for the euro's means he's the one doing the mocking

tbf he did not do well today, and he is pretty much the reason Russia are out, as he lead to that polish equalizer

DaSilvaSurfer that is a strange comment, probably more to do with the fact he's been playing regular football at Zenit than anything? Very cynical view.

how is it a strange view, he was abysmal in his last 18 months with us. why did he get benched in the first place? time has made people forget how useless he was.

I don't think it's because he was being lazy though, anyone gets disillusioned when they're doing something that frustrates them.

Arshavin is a good player but his heart is not for playing for Arsenal! We should put him out of his misery and sell him!

We can get £10m for Arshavin - and we should sell. Not a PL player by any stretch of the imagination. A great player but the league is just not right for him.
He needs a free role and no defensive responsibility.
