Yesterday should've been a happy day for me,but it wasn't.I set out to go on my hols to Devon, but received a phone call while I was on the M42 telling me that my mum (who has been in hospital) wouldn't survive the night.
What has this to do with football?well it was my mum who started to take me to matches way back in 1968,as my dad worked at the BBG,so it was thanks to her I started watching Derby back then.Fast forward to 2005 and my (then) 8 year old daughter started going to matches with my mum,as I was working at Pride Park,a bit of deja vu or what! After a couple of years I bought a ST with them,so there was 3 generations of our family going to matches together.
My mum passed away last night,so it will be a sad occasion when we go back for the new season without her.
Last week my mum went for a scan at the hospital and she was asked if she was allergic to anything, and her reply was...............nottingam forest!!!!

Sorry about your loss Chaddite. I lost my Mum 2 years ago, the pain does get easier, but not a day goes by when I don't think about her. She was a wonderful lady.
