Now I would like to state I think that both players are, in my opinion,
world class. But who do you think is the best?
I'll start by saying Messi!
Messi or Ronaldo?

Aye, I seen that, it was superb, he's starting to shut up the "he doesn't do it in internationals" brigade.
82 goals in a season hasn't been done since Pierre Van Hooijdonk done it in my Sensible world of Soccer game back in 1995.

great nowadays, technology allows us to appreciate such greatness, just wish we could have been allowed the same privileged enough to have seen pele maradone cruyff etc strutt their stuff in far more detail.

I don't think you can truely compare players of the past to know. For example, take a look at Messi now and Maradona. How well would Messi do in Maradona's era? Maradona had to put up with a lot of real bone crunching tackles that are rarely around these days, and those that are, are punished heavily than those back in the day.

Sure Messi's rolling about the ground antics wouldn't wash back in Maradona's era but that aside,I think Messi would've adapted.
Anyone remember the football italia 90 game for the sega megadrive? Where you had a birds eye view of the players and funky tango music in the background? Class game
