That chance at the end where he had an onrushing goalkeeper, was holding off a defender who he was shoulder to shoulder with and had to control and shoot with the same touch? Yeah, practically an open net.

That chance at the end was effectively a one on one and missed by about 10 yards.
Why are you so obsesed with defending RVP anyway. He's firing blanks for Holland not Arsenal. He's had a stinker of a tournament, just accept it

Ronaldo before this match only scored 5 goals out of the 98 shots he's had in every tournament he played in.
I guess no one wants him.

You calling me obsessed? Bit rich coming from a person who labelled Ronaldo's chances 'one on ones' whilst rvp's chances 'golden'. Typical messi fan boy.
Besides, I don't care about RVP's tournament. At the moment I'm struggling to count him as an arsenal player because he's clearly thinking about leaving.

Who on here is saying he hasn't been poor?

I have no idea. People are saying his chances weren't as clear cut as your suggesting, not that he had a good tournament.

I thought he was poor, but Huntelaar was somehow worse.

Robin Van Persie has now had 2 international tournaments and scored 2 goals in total.
He has never really performed for the Dutch - hence why everyone in Holland (well most anyway) wanted Huntelaar to start who outscored Van Persie in terms of number of goals for last season when arguably playing for a team not as good as Arsenal.
Huntelaar was also the top scorer for Holland during qualifying.
Wether this is all due to poor management by the coach is debatable.
What is not is that the Arsenal team is set up around Robin which is clearly not the case within the Dutch team. But then, Robin is clearly the only super star left at Arsenal.
