What now

I really hope i am wrong, but i just cannot see what d levy is hoping to get from sacking harry, i cant see how realistically he can expect any better than what harry has done for us the last couple of years, i really cant see anyone doing any better than harry has done for us. I do fear certain players will try and use harry leaving as a reason for wanting to leave and fear we are in for a long long summer. Can we honestly see a new manager taking us into the top 3 next season, i pray i am wrong but i fear for us at the moment. At least with harry we were almost guarenteed to be challenging 4 and with our income, wage structure, small (ish) stadium can we really expect to any better than that at the moment.

Harry and Levy are playing the same hand in different ways.

Harry chose to stick in current position and both Chelsea and Hodgson hit jackpot.

Levy has decided to play the same hand by twisting. It remains to be seen what card will be dealt and whether we go bust or hit the jackpot.

Regardless of the Harry why's and what for's I for one will have no faith in Levy whatsoever if he appoints AVB.

Levy has appointed 2 foreign managers in recent times out of choice (BMJ got it by default really) Both of them were disastrous. (Santini and Ramos)

Like it or not AVB at the ch avs was a joke and now we are talking about appointing him ??????????

Imagine you are a Spurs player how would you react if AVB came in as manager ?

I personally think it is a dreadful risk and with all the great work that has been done over the last 3/4 years its a risk which I think is ridiculous.

If Levy wanted to gamble then why not save money and take a gamble on the likes of Chris Houghton, at least he is Spurs thru and thru and also has a lot better track record in the prem than AVB does.

I know if I were a Spurs player my first reaction would be "are you having a fecking laugh or what"

"Harry and Levy are playing the same hand in different ways."

Redknapps' hand did not appear to have contained the 'see out your contract like a pro' card.

Grandspurs. Avb has one more trophies than Harry despite Harry being in management for 15 times as long. Avb messed up big time at Chelsea but let's at least have a bit of respect for what he did at Porto. I am hopeful that the spurs players are intelligent enough humans to at least give the new man a chance. Whoever he may be

Sorry but winning trophies in Portugal with one of the two big clubs over there does no impress me IMO its the equivalent of winning the league in Scotland with celtic or rangers.

What he did before is not important in my eyes its what he has done in England that matters to me. Have you forgotten how successful Ramos was in Spain ?

I think I would be happy with moyes if he was told to attack a bit.

i reckon hodgson was given on the job on a simialr proviso (and on the proviso that he tried to be chatty with the media).

my reading of the bbc interview with moyes was that he was up for it. let's bring him in for a chat

Similar to Harry who has a shed load of PL experience = Moyes.

Similar to Harry who has broken the SKY 4 dominance on at least one occasion = Moyes.

It is a myth about the way Moyes plays his team. Everton have played good football now and again, it is just that as a good manager he plays to their strenghs. People would be quite pleasantly surprised about what he would do with the Spurs squad.

I say we should try to go for Moyes and pay up. The only question would be if Moyes would want to leave a similar club to us. We may be in a better financial position and offer a fresh challenge but that is about it.

the moyes interview basically went like this :

Q. Have you been contacted by spurs ?
A. No
Q. Would you be interested ?
A. “im ambititous, I want to win things, ideally I’d want to do that with everton….but err”
Q. would you go to your chariman and say you need more money for players ?
A. Ive already tried that…Ive just got to concentrate on getting ready for the new season
Q. The fans are nervous, can you say anything at this stage ?
A. Ive had no contact…im the everton manager
Q. Are you looking for a new challenge at some stage ?
A. Im ambitious to try to push everton forward
Q. Does everton’s ambition match yours ?
A. “we’re in there competing” we’re doing the best we can with the players we’ve got
Q. would the club give you permission to speak with spurs ?
A. “we’re not there, and it’s hypothetical at the moment”
Q. whatever happens, we wish you luck wherever you are next season.
A. Thank you

I dont know what else he could say really, other than "come and get me" ?

Moyes for me would be a far better and safer bet than AVB and I dont think he would disappoint
