What would you make of this team?

1) Mohammed Hafeez
2) Nasir Jamshed
3) Azhar Ali
4) Asad Shafiq
5) Umer Akmal
6) Shahid Afridi
7) Sarfraz Ahmed
8) Hammad Azam
9) Umer Gul
10) Aizaz Cheema/Sohail Tanvir
11) Saeed Ajmal.

Once Younis Khan and Misbah retire, we'll have Shafiq and Azhar Ali who are both young and already great players. It would make sense to have them as replacements. That team is a solid team and a few young players who are interesting to watch i.e. Umer Akmal, Shafiq, Azhar Ali and Azam so therefore, given a run together they'll be a great team for years to come.

-What do you make of the team in the ODI/T20 format?

If we lose early wickets, its not the run rate that will be the concern. Anyways, with the Lankan weather I'd be suprised if we got all 5 days in. Draw will suffice.

Afridi that Sri Lankan bowling is not going to hurt us to be honest. Very average bowling lineup. As for our bowling lineup i'm guessing it will be:

Gul
Rehman
Cheema
Ajmal

If Sami is playing i will NOT be tuning in. Amir on the other hand loves Sami but he thinks Sami bowling average is actually his batting average.

Statistically Sami has been better than other pace bowlers. Haven't seen him bowl though. Kash you are maybe just too hard to please

I'd have sami in the test team. Think the length he bowled in the odis is a good length for test with his speed as well.

Umar Akmal not in test squad, faisal iqbal to come in for misbah

Sorry Kash, I didn't know about the last match where Sami put in a terrible performance. Pakistan (of all teams) are missing a quality pace bowler, no doubt about that.

RVP, if you're going to play Sami, you have to give him the new ball and make him the strike bowler. Sadly, I think his test careeer is over, but he could be a very handy ODI and T20 bowler.

Yes definately just true, he'll take the new bowl, 3 slips, bowl that awful length (which is quiet good for tests) and hope for some edges, and his extra speed will be a bonus. Put it this way, we might as well play him, we hardly use the second seamer anyway. In our last series, the second seamer (junaid & cheema) bowled around a total of 30-40 overs in the 3 test matches

You're making out as if it's my fault!

Still think Sami should be in the Test side!

All the Pakistan pace bowler are inconsistent. They go from great to rubbish and back to great in double quick time.

100% agree with this with the current crop. We have the Jekyll and Hyde type of bowlers and since Asif no one has really come on and took over and stamped there authority.

Robin and Amir i'll remind you of your comments when Sami is bowling with figures like 35 overs 1 -156 in the first test.

people still want Sami? We are better off with 10 players if theres no replacement for him.
