Hello!! I am new to JA606, and this is my first football article.
Simple question, which coverage has been better so far, BBC or ITV, and why?
ITV or BBC

There both poor, but the beeb edge due to no adverts, and no adrian childs who i don't think has ever watched a game of football in his life, absolutely clueless.
I don't think the pundits on either channel are up to much either, apart from Jaime Carragher funnily enough, he's actually offered some tactical insight rather than just talking in generic buzz words, i've always liked him as a person, the only problem is the club team he plays for.
The fact that the BBC aren't over in Poland & Ukraine will have something to do with the spending cuts that saw them downsize as well as re-locate a year or so ago, usually they have a studio at the tournament.

because of adrian Chiles, ITV is an instant loss for me. BBC Win,
Also if the BBC actually did their coverage from the ukraine and poland they would upset a lot of people as that expense would come from the license fee.
Clive Tydlsley Supports UTD so he'll have a lot of fans.

BBC by a mile you just can't beat Gary and co, and the commentators are better too, although i am missing John Motson who will always be the voice of football in my opinion.
also BBC have no adverts

ITV is usually terrible at sports coverage, but they've actually done ok so far. Have to say I actually like Carragher. NBC is good but Alan Hansen, c'mon.

Both channels could use a bit of Chris Kamara just to add more of a humour element.

Roy Keane looks so angry all the time though. Yesterday a couple of times when he was asked a question he reacted as though Chiles was an idiot for just asking him - come on, Roy, you've got to fill the time before kick off with something. I'd go with the BBC.
You just know that ITV are one accidental button-push away from cutting away to a toilet cleaning advert at an important moment, they've got form.
