Gerrard has been England's best player

Yes, i am a gunner & no, i am neither blind nor deluded like some of you lot who allow your hatred for Liverpool to stop you from accepting the simple truth...which is that Steven G has had a brilliant Euros.

1st & foremost hes the England captain & he (along with parker, johnson & parker) has been outstanding. I have decided to put club rivalry aside & appreciate the obvious facts that these players have given their all to qualify us for the QF. Walcott won us the game against Sweden & tbh thats all hes done in this competition. As for the Ox, hes young, hes raw & hes time in future competitions will come but hes blown more cold than hot. I hope wenger will give him more 1st team action next season.

I have said my piece & fully expect those deluded gunners to express utter shock & disbelief @ my blatant praise for the captain of the much ridiculed Liverpool. News Flash, guys, right up till 1st of July he has my support as my captain.

Pls Admin could you multi board this.

Joking apart, Gerrard hasn't been awful. He's just been Gerrard.

Cole has looked okay. Lescott and Terry have done well. Welbeck good in patches... I'm struggling now though.

Gerrard's very decent form so far has come to fruition basically becos of how dire some others eg Milner & Ashley Young, have been.

Nevertheless, that should take away from the fact that hes already made some major assists despite playing so deep.

By the way I though Gerrard was genuinely good yesterday, probably our MOTM.

However his other 2 performances were ridiculously overrated.

Also this.

And "Lawrento", please stop pretending to be an Arsenal fan. It's quite sad.

Gerrard has been instrumental in what Roy is trying to play. He has got forward every now and then to support the forwards when he can, without leaving the defence too exposed. His having to drop deep when we've got the ball coz parker is limited in his passing. Dont get me wrong parker is doing what his there to do, but with the ball lacks ideas.

His set pieces have been pretty much on the money, and to me has led from the front. He's getting criticised for playing too many Hollywood passes, but imo a lot lies on his shoulders to make something happen, especially the way the team has been set out keeping ball with little 5 yard passes is dangerous. When he's lost the ball his tried his best to win it back.

I do feel if we are progress further we might have to go with 3 in midfield with two wingers and Rooney up top on his own. I hope Roy's realised that and changes it.

Would be nice is he passed to Walcott from time to time

Remember his autobiography where he said looking at Theo made him sick?

He was good last night but the reality was we should have hammered Ukraine last night. We are the team with player thought to be worth in excess if 20 million yet we play like Stoke which is embarrassing at times. Only in england we think a hoof up to the front man is a good ball.

Bestie

Pls explain what you mean, my son? Are you saying that Arsenal fans cannot praise England (regardless of clubs) players? Or that we cannot constructively criticise Arsenal players (whether playing for us or England)?

FYI I am not only an Arsenal fan, I am very much a true Gunner.

Totally overrated and gives away clumbsy fouls, awful free kicks flattered by his 2 assists, England needs more from him. I think him and Parker have been about equal, but as Parker hasn't had assists he gets poorer ratings.

You can't say how great he is when the stats show the other teams enjoy better passing, better possesion, better movement (and these are average oppositions), he hasn't exactly influences a team performance.

What? Surely this can't be true?

Oh and Gerrard was very good yesterday. He's improved as the tournament has gone on.
