Season 2012-2013 Review

What a season! To narrowly miss out on automatic promotion was disappointing but if I’m honest, I fancy our chances against Brighton in the play-offs and the final against Bolton or Blackpool will be a feisty affair! Also congratulation to Barnsley, no one gave them a chance of promotion let alone winning the league but they were the best team by far and deserved it. Spare a thought for Wolves though…back to back relegations!

Steve Kean….Legend!

Who was your top goal scorer?

After Holland’s woeful performance at the Euros and Arsenals failure to win anything, Steve Kean met with Van Persie in London and convinced him that his future lied at Ewood Park. We swapped him for Yakubu and he ended up scoring 56 goals for us. He’s never been happier and has since stated that he has never seen a football club run as well as Blackburn Rovers and is looking forward to our imminent assault on the Champions League in coming seasons. Lionel Messi has also hinted that if he were to leave Barcelona it would only be for the bright lights of Lancashire!

Have to admit, the straight swap of Yak for RVP was a shrewd bit of business by Keano, who has slowly gained back the respect of Rovers fans across the universe.

Venkys have made good on their promise to turn the club into a global brand, I am particularly excited about the new training academy on Mars.

Let’s also not forget Myles Anderson’s rise to stardom Written off last season but was given a chance this season and took it with both hands. Became captain and was by far the best player in the league. He turned down offers from both Real and Barca in January to remain with us and recently signed a new 10 year contract. He also made his England debut and is the now the first name on the team sheet.

Some people have called him the new Maldini!

Unsuprisingly topping the "Capello Index", Anderson has silenced all critics this season. Especially his dad, who took a vow of silence and joined a tibetan monastery to repent for almost ruing Rovers in the 'bad old days'.
