We were linked with him a couple of weeks ago, as were United.
All seems to have gone quiet.
Absolutle class act and a snip at a reported £10m.
Watched the England game at Wembley and his first touch away from the likes of Gerrard was superb.
Seems to glide past players and certainly perfect in terms of ball retention and creativity.
This signing could potentially free up more funds for a striker (Hulk or other) too.
Hate to sound like his agent, just think whoever snaps him up will have an absolute bargain in today's terms.

You should sign Lee Cattermole or Joey Barton, they are more your level of player.
And these type of signings will prepare you well for FFP, when the days of lavish over spending by your dodgy owner will be long gone.

He's a very good player, a natural talent. I'd love him at Arsenal.

I'd be very disappointed if we spent double the amount on a battering ram like Fellaini.
I'd like to think from other recent signings, Luiz, Mata, Marin, Hazard etc that we are looking to control games in the near future.
Someone like Fellaini wont add to that list of natural talent.
Watching the likes of Pirlo and Xavi dictate tempo at this Euro 2012 is just what we should be aiming for.
Not the running around, kicking anything that moves and giving the ball away like Gerrard and Parker.
We must look towards dictating tempo against the bigger teams and having creativity all over the pitch against the poorer teams.
People worried about our physical attributes when defending and attacking set pieces :
Ivanovic
Cahill
Terry
Mikel
Torres

When I read threads like this it makes me wonder if fans just want us to spend money for the sake of it.

Or thinking of viable alternatives to more expensive options.
So really you could argue threads like these actually looks at not spending money for the sake of it
Just a thought

Ivanovic- May be going or won't be playing often with the possible new right back coming in.
Cahill- Fair enough.
Terry- Fair enough.
Mikel- Not dominant in the air.
Torres- Loses his man quite often when defending corners.
When you consider that our ability to defend set plays and score set plays where a big part of our champions league success, you can see why people want a Fellaini type player. That type of player will also provide the right balance in the team too as we have far more creativity playing in front next season.

@Lilly5710 - yes, he may be a viable alternative but he isn't going to improve the team. The players we have are already better than him and as someone has already pointed out, he'll be blocking the way of players like DeBruyne and Josh progressing.
I would compare signing him to Meireles.

That's your opinion and fair enough.
I actually think he'd be our best option in that position.
When compared to Frank (who would ofcourse be used still but much less), Meireles and Malouda.
It seems he has come out and said he will be staying at Fulham.
I wouldn't be surprised to see us or United make a bid should Modric go to the other or Madrid.

I'd love Dembele - I think he's as talented as any central midfield player in the premiership right now. Plus he's big and strong. For 10 million he's a steal.
When England played Belgium recently, Witsel played in the defensive midfield position behind Fellaini and Dembele - and they totally dominated possession. To some extent he plays in the hole where Mata has played recently, albeit probably slightly deeper. But I'm sure we could accommodate them both. Big yes from me.

And Dembele would be great
