I don't get why he is being hyped up. Yes he is good going forward and is a very good athlete but as a defender he is shocking. The way he surrendered to Ronaldo at the back post for Portugal's goal was embarassing, no matter the strength or movement of Greasy
However I do think we have two very good wingers in Pilar and Jiracek, and we did very well to come top of the group and go through to the quarter finals. Pilar is especially good, a real talent and Wolfsburg have done very well to snap him up
But in the end, Portugal deserved it. Well done to them, just pick someone else to score the winner next time

I thought he did quite well throughout the tournament, and yeah he didn't do too well today but thats not easy when you're up against Ronaldo

No body is hyping him up. And to be fair, he looks the only defender in czech side that would be well suited playing in the Premier League, him and Pilar.
They'd look good in a mid-table team.

Early stages he did quite well today, when he was seemingly man marking Ronaldo. Entirely at fault for the goal, can't allow a player to be on your blindside and drift across. Other than that as an attacking full back he has looked alright. Don't see him joining a 'big' european club.

i thought he started off very well and clearly did his job, but in the second half Ronaldo was allowed more freedom and I think he was unsure of if he should keep man-marking him. The fact that the czech republic midfield in the second half were so poor didnt help him out.
