How could he portray the image of best in the world if he wasn't? I think its actually quite refreshing to see someone hold a top title for a long time. Although admittidly it does work better with heels

I think it's quite justified. He has lost a large part of his bite since going face, but when you consider the lengths of time JBL, Cena & HHH (12th reign) had the strap, it really puts it into prospective.

I’ve always been a fan of the lengthy title reign system. Having legitimate champions holding the belts for extended periods of time. Not only does it make nights like No Mercy 2007 extra special, but it gives a greater sense of validation to the next champion. E.g. I’d rather WWE hold out with Punk to give Ziggler a chance to prove himself worthy (without the aid of the MITB for a chance) rather than giving it to Bryan in between. The flash in the pan title reigns annoy the hell out of me unless they’re done purposefully (e.g. Cena/Orton exchanging it between PPVs in 2009).

I want him to lose cleanly to Bryan or Lose Dirty to Barrett

I wouldn't mind Ziggler winning it tbh.

cm punk does put on great shows at ppv's though and he is very good on the mic. I do think it is time for a change though and I would absolutely love Barrett to take it off of him at Summerslam

Whilst I'm not a fan of hot potato, i do think its time Punk lost the title. He has gone stale but i partly blame the WWE for that. The booking for the WWE title has been atrocious.

Some wrestlers were born to be heels - Punk was definately meant to be a heel
