The strength about Germany is they have no ego's, they all play even better than at club level & are so unified whoever is in the team.
Spain have this unity too, Italy had it in 2006, and to some extent, still do.
England have never. The closest was Euro 96. It's all about how much dosh they can make before they retire for those boys, and who can blame them.
They're satisfied with the "simpler" glory that comes for them at club level.
The fact that many of them are on similar salaries as World & European champions is laughable. Majority of them are made to look good by the foreign World Class players that they are surrounded by.
Ashley Cole earns more than Phillip Lahm. Gerrard more than Ozil & Khedira, Rooney more than Gomez & Klose & Schwenstiger.
Why is this? Because the Premier League is over run with so much foreign investment it's become a billionaires social club, and this problem has ripped the heart & soul out of the English game.
People like Sheik Mansour & Roman Abramovich is why England will always struggle to ever make a success of it on the international stage.

The problem with England is we're talking about Germany when we should be focusing on Italy completely.

I don't want to be a problem, but I find these long journeys a nuisance. Let's try and resolve the issues in this article quickly.

England will take care of the grease monkeys no sweat, and if ever you had a chance to take the Gerrys this is it, you have unity, spirit and as hard to beat in a long time.
Lose and the Germans will dominate Europe for years.
Good luck

Are you watching a completely different England team from everyone else?
Yes, I agree that we haven't shown this team spirit in the past but if you look at how these guys perform on the pitch and how they talk off it, it's kind of obvious that no-one is in it for themselves.
Hodgson has got these guys playing as a team, which is something we haven't seen since Euro 96, as you quite rightly pointed out.
Try looking at the current England team rather than at the one from 6 years ago.

£3,000,000,000 makes you right.
£6,600,000 for Wigan v Stoke. We should be giving Rupert Murdoch a knighthood and access to our bins.
