Enoughs enough

Right, first of all allow me to clarify where I'm coming from. I am in actuall fact a Dufc supporter, I started watching Scottish football about the same time Rangers dominance began. As such I was supporting a team who were coming to the end of a golden period (the two events coincided) and I have spent my teenage years and my adult life with the feeling of betrayal. Here I was just starting out in life as a football follower, I had been told all about the european runs, the league win and cup wins and uefa cup finals etc. now as I actively started to follow United with the excitement of youth, expecting those days to continue, I had it ripped away from me by a Rangers team that was unstoppable, it didn't seem fair, and it wasn't, regardless of what anybody says, and disregarding all the dodgy decisions and bias commentary and bias journalism in rangers favour, People of my generations hatred for rangers stems from a feeling of being cheated. Worse though was the fact that whilst every joe public knew it was going on, the media, the match officials, the sfa, all covered it up and denied. I actually started to believe I was paranoid myself.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that when all of this has been unfolding, not only have I been feeling a sense of ''I knew it all along" and satisfaction at seeing the smugness and patronising nature of people such as David Murray and Jim Whyte and Jim Traynor along with many Rangers fans I am friends with replaced with an attitude of "fronting" that everything will be ok, slowly changing to realisation that you are up the creak followed by the blame game and shows of arrogance. This has been a cause for celebration at times, and I also have revived hope that, maybe, just maybe after all these years I will see a Dundee United team prospering at long last.
I think this explains the reason why everyone wants Rangers in the 3rd division or even out of existence. Emotionally we want revenge, we want you to be punished in the name of justice and integrity, logically we know change is required and this could be the catalyst to level the playing field and we won't ever get a better chance, bitterly we want to ram your own arrogance back down your throats.
HOWEVER I have come to realise that life's to short to hold a grudge, and I know a lot of good people who support Rangers, I know kids who dream of playing for Rangers when they grow up, and so I am now on your side. I want this mess sorted out, and I'm being honest with you all. The problem lies in what I'm going to describe to you from an outsider looking in. First of all everyone connected with Rangers denied any wrong doing, then the fans blamed Craig Whyte, rightly or wrongly, then you all seemed to think everything would be ok, someone would save the day, you were too big to fail, then you had various cases of hopes built up then dashed, you've accused the sfa the spl and other clubs of kicking you when you've been treated so so lightly up until now. And throughout all of this you haven't even raised a million pounds between you, and your club has a serious danger of disappearing altogether even as a newco. Dundee raised more money than that when they went into admin, and at the same time they were paying people off left fit and centre. Rangers haven't even made one player redundant bar Greg Wilde and click who chose to leave. Now the players can leave for nothing.
What I propose to save Rangers is this. Forget about hanging onto your top players, rip the contracts up and let them go unless they are willing to be registered and sold at a knock down fee as an act of loyalty, but I doubt it. Secondly, go to the sfa and negotiate for this punishment, take a years transfer ban with the allowance of loan signings, take a 2 year Scottish cup ban, and take a 100,000 pound fine. Remove your application for the spl and apply for the 3rd division, get promising youngsters like ness McCabe little on better contracts, fill the rest of your team with fringe player loam signings from spl clubs, notably hearts and united, and even Dunfermline, that way you are getting experienced pros for a year, they are getting quality training facilities, regular games with good players, and your paying the wages so your effectively saving them money which goes towards paying them back the money you owe them. Then get the fans fighting fund to use the money to they've raised to pay off small businesses what they are owed, and continue to raise money throughout the season and use the money to pay what you owe, this will build bridges, this will earn you respect and show remorse. Then you need the fans to buy season tickets and get behind Charles green because like it or not he runs the show, and without you money he can't afford it and it will end with no rangers whatsoever. All that will be let is a legacy of cheating and corruption and ultimately a horrible long drawn out death that effects the whole of Scotland.
