14:35 TEAM NEWS FROM THE ETIHAD This game is as huge as they come, the two richest teams in the premier league in what could really sway the title race. Man City have just one injury worry for this game, Hernanes out, replaced by Diarra in a 4-2-3-1: Casillas; Richards, Pique, Puyol, Arbeloa; L.Diarra, Cambiasso; Nani, Ozil, Di Maria; Benzema. Chelsea have pressing injury concerns over both first choice wingers as Bale and Robben miss out, Ba and Eto'o come in: Neuer; Sagna, Kompany, Terry, Marcelo; Yaya, De Jong; Aguero, Fabregas, Ba; Eto'o.
14:40 TEAM NEWS FROM ST ANDREWS A huge game for both teams on derby day, Birmingham will be looking to take advantage of possible slip ups at Eastlands and make on change, Hermann in for Reus: Cech; Lahm, Hummels, Vermealen, Baines; Martinez, Modric; Hermann, Gotze, Mata; Van Persie. For Wolves this is a chance to show they are getting back to their previous level, they start in a 4-2-3-1: Cesar; Maicon, Alex, Chielini, Assou-Ekotto; Barry, Moutinho; Hulk, Nasri, Willian; Remy.
14:45 TEAM NEWS FROM OLD TRAFFORD As we draw towards the end of the season Man Utd continue to push forward towards 5th, they make two changes as Sandro and Tevez come in for Lucas and Gerrard: Hennessey; Abate, Kaboul, Albiol, Filipe; Sandro, Pirlo; Robinho, Tevez, James; Drogba. 14:50 TEAM NEWS FROM ANFIELD Home team Liverpool have so far failed to live up to full expectations, today they make 2 changes from their draw last time out, Essien and Kolorov coming in to the side: Courtois; Isla, Ivanovic, Godin, Kolorov; Essien, Cabaye; Ramires, Kroos, Lavezzi; Cavani. Wigan Athletic but in a strong desplay against Arsenal and will hope to do the same here: Kameni; Gonul, Luisao, M'Bia, Dominguez; Witsel, Medel; Farfan, Diego, Barnetta; De Jong.
14:55 TEAM NEWS FROM LOFTUS ROAD Struggling QPR will be looking to take themselves away from any potential relegation battle today, they start in a 4-1-4-1: Krul; Iraola, Skrtel, Samba, Radu; Tiote; Peinaar, Sessegnon, Defour, Chadli; Huntelaar. Hull City will be looking to bring themselves back closer to the chasing european pack with a win, they start in a 4-2-3-1: Lloris; Vidal, Rami, Varane, Sakho; Marchiso, M'Vila; Menez, Pato, Neymar; Soldado.
14:58 We are just minutes away from kick off, there are two results from earlier to update you on, Arsenal put three past strugglers Norwich whilst Sunderland heaped more misery on Blackburn.
15:00 Here we go then, the referees around the grounds get us underway in a potentially season defining weekend.
15:02 Not much to report so far, the big games have started slowley as the teams look to avoid early mistakes. Only chance to report so farfrom Loftus Road, Sessegnon pouncing on a loose pass and firing in a shot that doesn't get anywhere near Lloris' goal.
15:04 GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Wigan Athletic
Perfect start for the home team, they came out of the blocks quickly, Kroos plays a magnificent ball out to Isla who gets in behind and puts the ball onto the head of Edison Cavani who doesn't miss from there.
15:05 And Liverpool go close again, Cabaye and Kolorov linking well before the full back finds his cross, Ramires is arriving but puts it over. Lighting fast movement from Liverpool.
15:07 First chance at Eastlads, Diarra loses out to Yaya Toure who breaks forward and finds Ba he shoots at it thunders off the post and away to safety. Chance for Portsmouth too, Pastore feeding Ayew who's skill takes him past two before he fires in a fizzing cross that Lewnadewski is inches away from converting.
15:08 GOAL! West Brom 1-0 Swansea City
Great start for West Brom as Ilicic shows some good skill before finding Dembele who plays a lovely through ball into Clint Dempsey and he cooley lofts the ball over the keeper.
15:10 So far Wolves are looking to really get on top of possession and it seems to be working in spells as they force the first real save, Moutinho picking out Remy who tries to hook a volley into the top corner, Cech tips it over. Birmingham, when they get forward, look to be trying to go through the middle but Wolves are blocking off the routes to goal and so far Wolves look much the better side.
15:11 Its Villa with the only chance of the game at Old Trafford so far in what has been a tight afair, Lampard won the ball and played a lovely ball to walcott who crossed in but Kagawa miss hit his volley horribly.
15:12 GOAL! Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Hull City
Its been QPR on top until now as Hull take the lead after great play, Marchiso finding Menez who slipped the ball on for Vidal and his cross is met by Roberto Soldado to open the scoring.
15:14 Some big chances to report. First for Man City as Nani finds Richards and his deep cross finds Ozil unmarked but he can't keep the header down. Then Wolves have a brilliant chance, Nasri finding Hulk who beat Baines and had two waiting for a tap in, instead he cuts back and tries to shoot but gets it wrong, Birmingham survive but Wolves really need to take their chance.
15:15 GOAL! Portsmouth 1-0 West Ham
No surprise here as Portmsouth turn their early dominance into a lead. Montolivo might just get back into the side with passes like that, his searching ball from 50 yards puts Robert Lewandowski clean in on goal and the Pole finishes well.
15:16 GOAL! Newcastle United 1-0 Tottenham
Newcastle quitely going about their business here, Arteta slips in Fernando Llorente who holds off a defender and smashes his shot past the keeper. You have to wonder what could have been for this Newcastle side this season.
15:18 Birmingham fans starting to get very frustrated with their team, whenever they get the ball they straight away look to attack the middle and it isn't working, this time Gotze fires wide as the space fails to appear in front of him. We have the save of the day at Old Trafford though, a long ball to Drogba causes problems as the big striker manages to poke it back to Tevez who hits it first time and Rafael has to react superbly to claw it away from the top corner.
15:19 Hull well on top with that goal as they look to keep the ball and they could be two up as Pato selfishly shoots over. Liverpool also doing all the attacking penning Wigan back and creating spaces, Kroos sees his curling effort saved by Kameni.
15:21 GOAL! Liverpool 2-0 Wigan Athletic
Some of the football from Liverpool here is as good as you will see anywhere. They start from the back, Essien to Cabaye who looks for the advanced Isla, he plays it to Ramires who bursts through to shoot, the shot is saved but then Ezequiel Lavezzi puts in the rebound.
15:23 Some things to update on. Firstly West Ham are a whisker away from being level at Fratton Park, Kalou's fizzing shot hits the bar with the keeper no where. Swansea looking to make a game of it against West Brom as Arshavin slips the ball into Progebnyak who sees his shot saved well. Tottenham and Newcastle is open, both teams putting pressure on, Valbuena and Benat missing chances.
15:24 GOAL! Manchester City 0-1 Chelsea
Big big goal and its Chelsea who take the lead. Eto'o loses out on the edge of the area but Francesc Fabregas is quick to react and takes the ball past Puyol and fires it into the net.
15:27 GOAL! Birmingham City 0-1 Wolves
And finally Wolves take the lead and its no less than they deserved. Moutinho does well side stepping a challenge and then finding Remy who plays it through to Hulk and he blasts it past Cech, nothing he could do.
15:29 Man Utd with some more good play as Rodriguez beats Johnson and sends in a cross that Drogba heads just over, they are on top though. Wigan showing signs of getting back in this game as Witsel counters well he finds De Jong but Courtois is out quickly to smother the shot and then Ivanovic clears.
15:30 GOAL! Portsmouth 1-1 West Ham
The Kalou chance was a warning but this time West Ham get level. Kalou running at the Portsmouth defence his pass looks horrible but Lisandro Lopez works hard to get there and hold off defenders before shooting, the ball its the post then goes in off the keepers head.
15:33 GOAL! Newcastle United 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Newcastle had been playing openly and theyve been punished, Granero finding Piatti who is allowed to run at the defence before finding Darren Bent who makes no mistake with the finish.
15:36 As we get towards the end of the half Hull are looking for a second, Pato running off Soldado but Krul makes a brilliant save to deny the brazilian. Man City also pushing forward looking to get back on level terms but Chelsea's defence has been solid so far.
15:37 GOAL! Manchester United 1-0 Aston Villa
Villa had given a good account of themselves but it was the home team pushing harder and they have the breakthrough. Robinho wins a corner which Pirlo delivers and its met by a powerful header from Didier Drogba. No chance for the keeper, United have their lead.
15:39 Stunned by that goal, Portsmouth almost gave away another but they have just gone very close, Adrian's ball in for Lewandewski was headed goalwards but just, just wide. Birmingham attempt to get back into the game but its given away and Wolves counter, eventually nasri bringing a fine save from Cech. Birmingham really struggling today against a Wolves side showing what they can do.
15:41 GOAL! Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea
They pushed forward well, Chelsea were remaining resolute but eventually Man City force the leveler, a cross from Arbeloa headed in by Karim Benzema. Even game so far.
15:43 GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Swansea City
The welsh side certainly have a lot of attacking talent at show and the two russians upfront combine, with Pavel Progenbnyak forcing the equalizer.
15:45 Half time around the grounds.
15:53 So as it stands, Chelsea and Man City will be going a point above Birmingham with their game tied and Birmingham losing at home, Wolves leading that game will hold on to 5th ahead of Man Utd who are also winning whilst Liverpool and Hull lead. Portsmouth are the only team chasing europe currently not ahead in their game. Elsewhere Newcastle and Spurs are level, as are West Brom and swansea.
16:00 We get back underway here, Can any side really push forward in the title race and what will the europa league race look like after this 45 minutes? Its a big half to come.
16:02 First chance of the half falls to Villa. Shinji Kagawa with a good peice of skill and then pass for Lampard who cits back and shoots, with Hennessey making a fine save. Nothing to report from theother grounds as the second halfs slowley get into gear.
16:05 GOAL! West Brom 2-1 Swansea City
They are bac in front at the start of the half. Jesus Navas showing electric pace to get into position to cross and he picks out Andy Carroll who sends a thumping header into the goal, showing everyone why he's the best forward in the world right now.
16:08 GOAL! Newcastle United 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Goal for the hosts, Song with a great ball forward, Llorente heads it down and Matthieu Valbuena fires in. They made it look simple.
16:10 RED CARD FOR WEST HAM UNITED
West Ham were right in this game but that could cost them. Pastore looks to get into the box and Bonucci synically hauls him down on the edge, hes off and its a free kick.
16:11 That free kick is hit wastefully over though...
16:12 GOAL! Portsmouth 2-1 West Ham United
....But they come straight back at West Ham, Ayew with a driving run, feeds Javier Pastore and the midfielder places the ball past the keeper to give Portsmouth the lead. What can 10 man West Ham do?
16:14 GOAL! Queens Park Rangers 1-1 Hull City
Completley againt the run of play we are level. Tiote wins the ball and finds Sesegnon he runs at Hull who back off, he feeds Pineaar who in turn crosses and Klass Jan Huntelaar heads home what could be a very big goal at both ends of the table.
16:15 As we get to the 60 minute mark there are changes to report. Aston Villa, trailing 1-0, take off defensive midfielder Fernando and throw on Oliver Giroud upfront. Tottenham also take off a midfielder for a striker, Aquilani replaced by veteran Raul.
16:17 Some very tight games at the moment, that change by Villa has opened the game up as they push forward. Birmingham looking better in this half as Van Persie sends a shot narrowly wide. In the other big game it remains 1-1.
16:20 Birmingham finally make a change as young Hermann is replaced by Gonzalo Higuain. Whilst with nothing to lose, Mandzukic replaces Witsel for Wigan, they are 2 down to Liverpool.
16:21 GOAL! Manchester United 1-1 Aston Villa
What a strike! Motta wins the ball and finds Walcott who uses his pace well and picks out a cross that Papiss Demba Cisse hits first time on the volley, bending it past Hennessey. Superb equalizer and Villa ae really impressing today.
16:23 GOAL! Portsmouth 3-1 West Ham United
Portsmouth should have this game dead a burried now. Montolivo with another superb pass, Lewandowski can't control but Adrian Lopez can, he comes back inside and curls his shot past the helpless keeper.
16:24 GOAL! Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea
Man City put themselves top of the league! Its a well worked move ending With Ozil beating Terry for pace before pulling the ball back to Angel Di Maria to fire in.
16:25 Times for changes with 20 minutes to go. Chelsea need a goal or two and on comes Vaart into the midfield. Man Utd bring on Giovinco for Drogba whislt for Villa, Benayoun comes on. Liverpool bring on young Romeu for Essien and Papadopolous and El Sharawaay are on for Portsmouth, West Ham bring on Osvaldo. Drawing at QPR, Hull replace Pato with Salvio.
16:27 GOAL! Birmingham City 1-1 Wolves
They were getting back into it and they have their goal, and its a good one at that. Higuain plays it out to Gotze who beats Ekotto then crosses and Juan Mata sends an inch perfect volley crashing into the roof of the net. Game on.
16:28 GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Wigan Athletic
Having been trounced in the first half, Wigan came out looking to attack and its payed off here, Barnetta beats Isla and crosses for Mario Mandzukic to head home. Can they get themselves back into this?
16:30 More changes being made, Man City bring on Diego Millito for Benzema. Wolves have Cissokho on in place of Ekotto. Liverpool who may be in trouble now bring on Prince-Boateng. At Fratton Park, Fellaini replaces Pastore and Suarez for Cahmberlain. At Newcastle, Henderson and Ambrosini are on, for Spurs Capel for Harnik.
16:33 GOAL! Liverpool 2-2 Wigan Athletic
Can you beleive it? Afield silenced by a spirited Wigan fightback. The ball is sent long and De Jong gets it down to Mandzukic who lays it into the path of Diego Ribas and he smashes a shot past Courtois, 2-2!
16:35 As we head into the 80th minute there are more changes: For Wolves, Lukaku replaces Hulk, Liverpool bring on Doumbia for Cavani as they look for a winner, Balotelli is on for Villa and Negredo for Hull. Man Utd also look to go for it at Old Trafford, Lucho replaces Sandro. West Brom brng on Anderson and Adam.
16:38 GOAL! Liverpool 3-2 Wigan Athletic
What a game this has turned into! Wigan were coming forward looking confident then suddenly Cabaye releases Ramires who can stretch his legs, he bursts into the area after a great run and then sets it up for Seydou Doumbia to put Liverpool back in front.
16:40 GOAL! Queens Park Rangers 1-2 Hull City
Important goal! Hull come forward and Negredo finds Santos Neymar who shows dazzling skills against the defenders before curling a shot past Krul. Not long left for QPR to respond.
16:40 Man Utd make their final change as Andre Schurrle comes on for Abate. Elsewhere, West Ham bring on Romulo and Tottenham Farfan.
16:41 GOAL! Man City 2-2 Chelsea
Its all square!! Just as Man City were looking to close out the game, Van der Vaart wins the balls and plays it long, Ba flicks on and Sergio Aguero is there to scramble it in.
16:43 GOAL! Manchester United 2-1 Aston Villa
This could be heart break for Villa! Lucho wins a free kick which Pirlo delivers in, theres an almighty scramble in the box and someone prods in, it looks like Andre Schurrle with the final touch. Theres still time for Villa and theyve looked a threat today but they need to be quick.
16:44 GOAL! Birmingham City 2-1 Wolves
Wolves looked so good in this game but they have left space in midfield in the final 10 minutes as Birmingham pushed on and the home team have their reward for hard work. Mata finds Baines overlapping and his cross is perfect for Gonzalo Higuain to head into the net. Its harsh on Wolves, but this could be the goal that really puts Birmingham ahead in the title race.
16:45 Full time around the grounds.
