Tournament ratings

Another disappointing penalty shootout, but the quarter finals is about right for a team of our players So here are my overall Euro 2012 ratings for England:

Hart, 7- A bit shaky at times, but made some important saves.

Johnson, 6.5 - Absolutely brilliant at times and awful at others.

Terry, 8 - Played exceptionally well throughout.

Lescott, 7 - Made some decent tackles and blocks.

Cole, 7 - Solid as usual, poor penalty unfortunately

Gerrard, 8 - 3 assists, some great crosses, but gave it away a bit often.

Parker, 6.5 - Put his body on the line, but can't pass to save his life.

Milner, 4 - Just awful. Can't cross or beat anyone.

Young, 4.5 - Gave the ball away too often and was completely ineffective

Rooney, 5 - Looked completely lost of fitness, barely completed a pass

Welbeck, 6.5 - Really good movement and link up play, but didn't effect the game too much. Great goal.

Carroll, 7.5 - Played brilliantly when called apon.

Henderson, N/A - Did he touch the ball in either game he played?

Ox, 6 - Looked promising, but was maybe trying too hard.

Walcott, 7 - Didn't do much apart from saving us vs. Sweden

Roy, 10 - Didn't play Downing

Overall team, 6 - Defended well, didn't attack well (if at all!)

"you've demonstrated you club bias from the beginning of this thread"

Your one to talk .
You gave Gerrard 9 ? Johnson 8 and Caroll a 7?

Gerrard a 9 , your on drugs mate . Not a hope in hell Gerrard was anything better than a 7 . The only English player that should be better than a 7 is John Terry .
----------------------------------------------
What are you on about you absolute imbecile? 3 assists in 4 games. Easily England's best player along with Terry. Johnson time and time again thwarting attacks and getting blocks in whilst providing an attacking threat also. Carroll had two games, one he caused the Sweden defenders problems all game and scored a great goal and one he came on against Italy who were controlling the game and did what was asked of him, win the ball when it's hoofed up to you.

Terry was excellent

I don't think he's suited to international football at all but he's very good at Royball

How is he not suited to international football? He has to prove time and time again that he is, despite idiots doubting how good he is, just because they dislike him.

Theresonly

Read what I posted you tool.

I gave Gerrard a 7.

Pirlo would be a 9. Gerrard was good but never a 9.

I think Terry is an excellent premiership footballer, but nothing special at international level

It's got nowt to do with not liking him

Well back to the old 606 days

So why was he at least England's second best player and stopped some of the best players in Europe throughout the competition? This is an international competition, incase you hadn't guessed.

Royball suits him.

Backs to the wall, last ditch, lots of crosses.

Roy makes other teams play English against us.

Terry laps it up
