Here's how things went down whenever England got forward:
> Free kick to England.
> Italian defender grabs English player's shirt.
> Englishman is unfairly dragged to the floor.
> Free kick to Italy.
I know this sounds like I'm making excuses and covering up for England, but I'm not. At the end of it all Italy were better and deserved to go through.
I'm just saying that something wasn't right when it came to the 6 officials that are meant to pick up on this kind of thing.
The referee was awful last night.

I dont think that any of the officials behind the goals made any contribution to any of the games.
The defenders of all teams foul players trying to score goals at every free kick and corner but for some reason the officials dont ever see it.
If they started awarding s few penalties that would make a difference.

Glasgow - we lost to a better team, yes, no problem there.
The point of the article was the lack of anything from the refs and officials behind the goals.

and yet the worst decision in the game was Maggio's booking when Young dived and he will now miss the semi final

what about when John Terry kicked the ball out for a Corner then claimed a goal kick and got it? Or when the ball went over the line vs Ukraine? All swings and roundabouts!

In that case gawasoldier, I applaud the refs for keeping consistent with their incompetence.
