Is Sigurdsson good enough replacement?

Sorry RDBD I missed your comment. I did a bit of reading up on his time at Swansea, they used behind Graham in a 4-4-1-1 formation.. he looks like a young, two-footed VDV.

Would be a quality signing who can score goals. If Modric goes then we may have to re-shuffle slightly as I doubt we could replace him with another similar player.

That depends on how much we've got to spend. You guesstimated a while back that we'd have around 20m, bearing in mind we just about broke even and we've got the new training complex and stadium to pay for.

With Vertonghen set to cost around £9m, Sigurdsson the same.. Unless the rumours of the 50m kitty for a new manager are true we're going to end up playing like Spain next season.
