that the signing of Jacobs may well unravel in to something similar to the Maguire debacle?
I hope not, but I really wish Chris was given more of a chance to show what he could do in a Rams' shirt.
How many more players would people like to see brought in? I'm thinking another 3.
1 back-four player
1 central midfield/link player
1 forward
Is nobody slightly worried...

"sadly he'll be an ageing Scotting Div 3 player by then."
Are you suggesting he's going to Glasg... er, The Rang.... er, Team 12?

Iwas, that's harsh on Ronaldo. By all accounts he's first into training and last home, never drinks alcohol and is a model pro. Not just talent that got him where he is.

why on earth should it be history repeating itself? NC has bought several players who have done very well.
why would you put an underperforming player (maguire) into a team to weaken the side just so he can prove himself? it makes no sense. he didnt get played cos he wasnt good enough.
hopefully this jacobs lad will be a good bit of business. lets hope he has the right attitude and steps up to the mantle. ultimately his success will be up to him.

wassa is normally right when it comes to transfers.... I've always rated that chambers but the dogs say he had a poor season last year <Erm> or is it one of them where as soon as one of there players gets linked to another club he's 'rubbish' like usual! Even when 'carthorse' Morgan was leaving I read comments like 'not too bothered' he's going etc!
We need a centre half so it would make sense!

I'd be surprised if Jacobs goes the same way as Maguire. Quite a few dons fans warned us about Maguire and the risk we were taking. Cobblers' reviews of Jacobs have been much more favourable, certainly in terms of his attitude towards the game.

Maguire has no reason to be upset at Derby. Think back to when he signed.
It was obvious that the plan was Davies / Tyson as the 1st choice forwards, with Maguire the back-up to Davies and Theo the back-up to Tyson.
He shouldn't have expected many 1st team starts last season, so throwing his toys about when he didn't get them is out of order.
That Callum Ball came past him in the pecking order most probably says everything we need to know about their relative efforts on the training ground.

No.
How on earth can you equate the two
Fielding, Brayford, Barker, Shackell, Bryson, Ward, Robinson...all turned out to be excellent signings, aren't you worried that Jacobs may turn out to be one too?
