What is NW up to? What is his game?
He bizarrely goes against the stated position of his employers the IFA by vigorously endorsing the idea of a united UK team! Thus prompting all kinds of people to think about why one country should have four teams simply because they invented the game. Is he looking for the sack?
He makes a bit of a fool of himself with his handling of the Irish player allegiance controversy. First he complains bitterly about Gibson. Then he licks his way across the floor to try and persuade a no count like Bruce into the NI set up when we dont need or want him! Now it appears he is trying to persuade Gibson back into the NI fold!
He constantly retracks peevishly over the same boring ground of legitimacy trying to provoke a schoolboy slanging match with the ROI. Thus ignoring the FACT that the legitimacy issue has already been legally decided! It is dead and he should be concentrating instead on the only live issues left in the controversy, namely the very important and legitimate questions of compensation and protection from abuse! Hes way behind the game as usual!
He persists in trying to drive NI into the ground by making weird team selections, adopting deadend tactics and involving the team in a constant series of "B" matches that nobody is really interested in.
Most annoyingly, he seems to be in a positively EXREP state of denial more commonly associated with the likes of COMPLETELY POGUED, in which, rather than facing up honestly to the problems, he persists in frantically pointing to imaginary good points! --- "I think there are some good points to be taken away from our performance" --- Oh yeah Nige, about half a million!
Whats Nigel's game?

This is why you should stick to you political claptrap. as bad a manager as Nigel is I'm pretty sure he knows the eligibility rules of international football and that Darron Gibson can never ever play for Northern Ireland at senior level.

Poor Darron! You mean he can never play for his OWN team, even with a name like his!
Dont think he'll be getting many games for the ROI unless soccer introduces a US football system of walk on goal kickers!

Nige is fixing Darron up with a good plastic surgeon and document forger.
New nose, jaw line and finger prints plus forged birth certificate and Gibbo will be slotting in quietly at centre midfield for the Wee Six!

Worthington should be sacked, hes a clown. Id take Lawrie back any day of the week, seems to get the best outta players!

Must be Hurling as it cant be football.

Well of course he already had the choice of playing for his 'own' team or the Irish national team and he elected for the latter. 16 caps and a chance of playing in Euro 2012 later he still hasn't indicated he regrets that decision.

No harm to Gibson, but cant really see him holding down a regular place in the ROI team which seems to be coming on by leaps and bounds right now.
Once they get rid of the Italian, they may have a real chance of doing something truly exceptional !
By the way, if they do I hope they will be gracious enough to acknowledge the no small part played by ourselves in their success! Providing them with players and all that!

I think you'll the Italian is doing just fine. Well the performances aren't always the most pleasing on the eye the man has forgotten more about football and more importantly, how to get results in football, than most of us will ever know.

Thats if any of those players (Gibson,Wilson and Duffy etc..) ever actually become regulars in the ROI side.
Anyway, we've off loaded Alex Bruce to NIreland now so that particular argument is now no longer valid
