So Pete has said he will fund one more push for promotion, giving the club one of the biggest transfer budgets but if they don't get promoted, thats it for a while.
So effectively he has said to Karl - Put up or shut up. As there has been no movement on the transfer front, can we assume Karl has decided to shut up
Does he feel that the side is good enough, given the extra coaching from Wrighty, so wants to bank the cash until the January sales?
But the good thing is that with th extra cash, he doesn't need to look at people coming back from injury.
Who should he go for - Sam seems to be out of favour at the Hammers, so he coul be available cheap (and given his ability to be injured would atisfy Karl's healing nature > )
Should he push on to sign Smithy?
Should he be looking at some cheaper & younger options to bulid up the squad
Pete's prepared to open his wallet

Hazsa, most of the teams have strengthen their side from last year. They will also know what to expect from MK Dons, without some more options I can see thi season being a real struggle

Erm, yes they do? We have a squad which struggled at times last season as it is, and with other teams improving a lot, and us not improving we're hardley going to push forward again with the same 15 odd players we finished the League with are we?

if you havent lost any players yet you will be fine
you got stronger as the season went on and if you keep that team i think you will be champions at a canter!
the division is gonna be weaker this time with your main challengers being swindon i recon!

I don't know about a canter. A marathon ending in a sprint more like it. I think Swindon will be there as well as Sheff Utd & Preston. I'm not sure about the teams coming down, either they will be brilliant or will struggle.

What Barcahudders said. Tbh we're a bit pathetic If we're worried about the average teams around us signing average players.
We're obviously going to get a couple of guys in at some point, plus I never expected us to hold onto Gleeson/Potter & co so ffs lets have some positivity for once

Hazsa, fair enough, if MK Dons don't get at least 1 Central Striker and a Defender I am positive they will not get automatic promotion

I am positive? I'm on of few people who don't really have a problem with the 'lack of action' in the transfer marker as far as I know we'll bring players in. I'm just reiterating my point and opinion that if we went into the season with this crop of 14/15 players, we wouldn't finish playoffs.
But we're not going into the season with this team. We WILL bring players in, so no point even taking it any further good day.

It's very quiet around here.
Seen this?

Seems a very rational approach for a chairman to take in this financial climate ... will it work?

Too quiet Yes if it works, no if we don't attract players. How about Steven Davies, out of contract with Derby County and looking for a move closer to London.

As long as one of the people Karl is trying to convince isn't David Bentley. I tink he would unsettle the midfield - probably the most successful unit last year.
I could see Sam coming back on a discount, and how about some of the ex-Rangers guys. L1 muat be better than Scottish L3
