I know Ramires is primarily a box-box midfielder but I was wondering if he could play defensive midfield, especially with the absence of Essien. I know we have Mikel but in the ACON if he can play defensive midfield it will be really useful.

I think he plays best in the position he is now but I wouldn't mind him being a temporary DM while Mikel is at ACON

He plays in a 2 of a 4231 for Brazil, so I don't see why he can't play the holding role with us

That's what I thought but I think we shouldn't use him there as much because even though his defensive attributes are excellent, his attacking ones would be wasted and they could be vital next year
