I'm surprised that some of you

spend half your time on saying that Holloway got Blackpool promoted without spending and the other half demanding that Doughty should spend indecent amounts of money on players who really aren't worth it.

Interestingly on Radio 5 tonight, Steve Claridge and Craig Burley discussed Leicester's chances of promotion this season. The verdict, "No chance." They think that he's been throwing away money like a drunken sailor and that his managerial weaknesses will sabotage any chances they might be thought to have.

Frittering away money isn't the secret then.

no good being quicker signing players. the agents still send the memo out to everyone when a player is ready for a move.

im afraid its all about having the balls to commit money to transfers but more so wages to attract the best players that are available at the time.

i would work in any town or city other than nottingham if i was getting paid £10k a week more.

what do you think?

Here's the dilemma. If we lose, say, £6 million a year without bringing in too many players on transfer, with a small squad and with a wage cap AND you want Doughty out how are you going to finance the several million pounds worth of transfer fees people seem to be demanding plus the higher wages. Maybe if someone can find a way to get 10,000 supporters to pay an extra £1,000 per year we could do it but even then we would need a Chairman like Doughty to underwrite the continuing losses.

Your suggestions are welcome.

If a club of our size needs £6m a year just to run a small squad in this league, then it's being run badly. Whos putting the £6m a year in to all the other clubs that manage to exist at this level with the a sugar daddy?

It's not about wanting ND out. It's about him changing his ways. Many blamed Billy for our lack of transfers before. Billys gone yet we have the same problem. We need to change the way we do things or we could end up losing a good manager whos worked hard to rebuild his reputation, and won't want to risk it. Working for a man who's not delivering the backing I'm sure he must have been promised to have accepted the job in the first place.

its mentioned above about losing £6million a year,
how many millions of pounds worth of talent have just walked for nothing. I find it difficult to believe that we can allow that number of players to walk, and have no contingency plan. Earnshaw cost £2.65m, Tyson £750k, Mckenna the same, and surely Moussi (assuming he isn't staying), would have been worth a reasonable transfer fee. It just appears inept to let this happen.
I would also like to ask one more question, B D was never part of the 'A.P.', so therefore I assume Steve Mac isn't either, so why does SM have to stay behind and show the A.P. how to do their job, whenhis should be assessing the ability of the players he has.
Get the AP sorted out,or better still get it OUT.

Yes, live within your means but that may mean settling for a league 2 place. You're a small club in a footballing backwater. Without a sugar Daddy you'd be nowhere.

The wheels are coming off and you're all starting to panic.

Iwaslevel you are a touch clueless my friend, we by rights (and apart from our history) I look at where the two teams finished last year and yep we were a touch higher. so currently are a better team.

I for one am a little worried but I would be more worried about having NLN at your club.

You have signed a player from us who was liked as a bloke but as a player seemed surplus to requirements by many a person and fan and suddenly your going to improve and finish top 6.

Even if we dont do so well, I am very confident in being higher come the end of the year than you.

I wish you well

The wheels are not coming off at all, Forest are going up this season!

Yes, people have come to the end of their contracts and left but why is that? It could be because they disagree with us about how much they are worth or it could be that Billy didn't want them anyway.

If Claridge and Burley think Leicester have no chance I might go down the bookies and put a couple of quid on them this arvo.
