Looks like our forgotten man is off to Spain Not too happy about this tbh, I was hoping he'd get a much better chance with us under new manager, but I guess not

As much as I thank HR for what he did, he is always regarded as a players manager. Why the hell have so many of our player like GDS, Bentley, Bent and several more been blanked by him over the years. Proves he had his favourite clique of players, and maybe had grudges.

Lennon's

I don't mean to put the lad down but he had chances on loan in the past couple of seasons and never earned a move.. sad we didn't see the best of him but I don't think we ever would've done.

Onwards and upwards for all concerned

How can anyone say he was given enough chances. ?

How Many games did he start?

How Many successive games? I will guess on 0 for that

How Many appearances did he even make? At a guess I would say 15 max including subs. And i can remember at least 3 goals he scored. One a screamer. And there may be more.

He never was given a proper chance IMO

How many players did Ferguson sign that did not make the grade at United? Buying players can be a hit & miss affair & they can fail for a number of reasons.

I in all honesty thought he was lightweight & never really suited us.

Greaves. How do we know? He hasn't been given a chance? Modric looked lightweight when he first came. We didn't think he could play in the middle so we stuck him on the wings

It takes players time to adapt

If gio was a big money signing like modric
Was I bet we would have given him time. As he was cheap he got cast off and no one blinked when he wasn't getting minutes. It's a shame as I actually think last season during our slump he would have been quote useful just for a shake up and his unpredictablity. Let's face it, the main players were not performing for a good three months !

Chronic...................I see your point of view, but I still feel in the games he either started or came on he was something of a headless chicken.

Modric, once he had adjusted to the pace of the PL was just fine.

Genius also you have to admit that the games he featured in were rarely league games. So he was not often playing with the first team. With better players around him he may have shone more.

Also because of his lack of opportunities I bet when he did play he thought he had to make the most of it or e wouldnt get another chance and so literally did run around like a headless chicken.

Gio is class for Mexico, but how well has he done out on loan? Clearly not very well, so scouts at Spurs obviously haven't seen enough evidence that he is worth keeping. Not saying I'm not slightly disappointed to see him go. Probably won't ever wear my 08/09 home shirt with his name on the back again now.

I remember signing a player (non league but Senior football) who was getting rave reviews in a league just below us. He bombed completely and could not adjust to the pace or the competitiveness of our league.

Its all in the mental attitude of individuals, thats why only 1 out something like 45 schools internationals actually make it to be a professional!!
