Moutinho and parker!!

If spurs dont sell us modric...do you think that signing moutinho and parker for a combined fee of about £ 35 m will be a good piece of business and also help strengthen our central midfield area ??

Agreeing with Sandsend 59

theres only 1 way I would take parker back and thats on a free transfer and no weekly pay... basically wouldnt be interested!

I would be happy if we actually signed someone though...

I would be happy to get some exciting fresh faces in though! thats why i welcome people like Falcao, Moutinho, Neymar (although he seems like a bit of a di*k!...... wait a minute, would fit in well with JT then! - joking....)

Im a comedian, its my job... im also not funny

Moutinho said he wouldn't join and we can do a lot better than Parker

Sorry I should have phrased differently... he just said he would prefer to stay at Porto, and he made it clear in an interview:

Sandsend. he got the football writers player of the year. the same football writers who gave it to giggs and rooney in season when they were out performed. Roy Hodgson won manager of the year 2 seasons back, did that mean anything?

the fact that he got POTY emphasises my over rated statement

Opinions are like r souls mate, everyone has one, most of them stink, and the only one that really counts is your own.

so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, but tell me something, just for measure;

Who would you have at this moment in time, who is;

A, A ball winning midfielder.
B, Available
C, Uncompromising
D, Tried and tested in the premiership
E, Hard tackling

The above are Essiens traits as I see them

I don't care about the 'tried and tested in the premier league' part. Essien wasn't, makalele wasn't etc etc,

Arturo Vidal and Moussa Sissoko are both available for sub 15m and are 10 times better than Parker and years younger

You've mentioned 2 worldies there, care to run up a list of those who didnt cut the mustard.

Look, as I said earlier we just agree to disagree on this one, but before you run off any more of the Scotty Parker is shoite (rated 1924 on another thread), maybe you should read what professional footballers who have played against the guy have to say, you might be surprised to find out that they rate him very highly

I'm not disputing that Scott Parker is a very good professional footballer. I'm not stupid. I said he was over rated, not a poor footballer. (the 1924 obviously being a joke). I just don't see him as good enough for Chelsea (or united for that matter).

Parker would be a great signing for a team like Villa, it would be a step backwards for us.
