Sterling: "Brendon Rodgers wanted me to come down to Swansea on loan last season, & he is a good manager."
Looks like Brendon rates Sterling, hopefully means he'll get some decent game time this season, along with a few of the other youngsters.
Maybe it also means we won't be looking at buying 'squad' players, instead using our reserve pool, and just get 2/3 quality first teamers.
Rodgers and Sterling

I believe very strongly that there is a lot of potential in our Academy. But we have failed so far to make the most of it. Players like Sterling,Suso, Adorjan and Silva are all players who fit with BRs plans. It's would be criminal not to develop them.

Im hoping suso will get some gametime under rodgers, he looks a real talent.

That's great news IMO.
Rodgers seems like the ideal person to polish Sterling and develop the decision-making part of his game, and it's great news that he rates him highly enough to have wanted him on loan.
It does beg the question of why we didn't send Sterling on loan, though.

Not really a surprise.
Sterling is a very similar player to Scott Sinclair. Pace, direct threat from the left and loves to cut in and shoot on his right foot.
I would imagine he will be first choice understudy to Downing from now (Downing is still a good player, before anyone starts with knocking him).
Bellamy to Cardiff looks a goer to free up some space in the squad. I know Bellamy was very good dirt half of last season, but it was obvious that after the Carling Cup he went down hill mentally.
I think he has achieved what he set out to do, be a key member of a Liverpool trophy win, and will now see out his career trying to get his home club to the Prem.

great news for sterling that rodgers rates him.
with dirk gone, it can only bode well for more first team action.
We dont always need to splash millions to improve the team when we have the talent right under our nose.
Said it before....Sterling and Suso can end up saving us millions

From the (admittedly very) little I've seen of Marc Pelosi I think he could be a real talent too.

Shortlight
Pelosi is in the Bale mould, and Vilyan Bijev is another quality USA player we have. Others like Ibe, O'Hanlon, Smith, Morgan,Coady, McLauglin are going to have a shot too.

I think Jack Dunn will be a player.
I like his aggression and desire, but he can also play.
He already sounds like a footballer, just one from the 1920's

Righteous
Quite right about Dunn, so many players there in the Academy, and I would like to see Pacheco brought back into the fold by BR to see if we can bring this lads talent out.
