As all we know George Harrison played a wonderful(for him)guitar solo on Badge by Cream.
For contractual reasons he was never credited for his input on it, but it was still George Harrison then as it is now.
His name was credited as D'Angelo Mysterioso, but it was still George Harrison.
This proves that Rangers will always be known as Rangers.
And we keep our history, just as GH does.
Sorted.
A different analogy from Leeds anyway, though just as accurate.

To use a music analogy, Rangers are the equivalent of Starship. Previously a well respected band capable of producing top quality music as Jefferson Airplane, but now reduced to tacky, manufactured stadium rock, with terrible anthems like 'we built this city'
