i wish this guy would just tell people which club he is going to, started to get bored by this story now.
Is this guy really that good? to the point where he can dictate everything so much between us and spurs?
If he comes, he better be bloody amazing

Duncan you noob, spoken like a true no nothing, football was invented by sky in the 90's United fan.
Spurs have no significant history - my word, it may not be as illustrious as Liverpool or Uniteds but then I think you will find no other team in England's is, but teams like City, Newcastle and Chelsea would love to have as much history as us. 17 major trophies, the first double winners, the first English team to win a European trophy, winners of the very first UEFA cup. Some of the greatest players ever to play in England have been at Spurs.
Like I said were not Liverpool or United, but we are comfortably in the next bracket of clubs.

ok, let me rephrase it for you you daft
no significant history in most peoples living memory.
ok for you now
old estonians won the fa cup in 18 hundred and something a couple of times, but im sure noone would be jumping at the chance to sign for someone who hasnt competed or won anything significant for years.
at least the scousers have won something!!
the only thing anyone at spurs has won over the last god knows how long was Arry and his court case, but i suppose you could brag about that too, theres not much else recently

You make it sound like we are Mk dons. We were the 4th most successful team in England - I think Chelsea have overtaken us now. We have won a trophy more recently than Arsenal, and up until this year had won something more recently than Liverpool.
I will stop harping on about our history now as it makes me small and petty to do so, but I just can't stand United fans who think who think SAF was the inventor of football, that United have always been a great team, and will always be a great team - it already looks like the beginning of the end.

Sig is a done deal at Spurs.
Spurs are getting all their ducks in a row before announcements on purchases are made.
First the new manager, then the players. Sorry to disappoint you but hopefully you can move on now !

...old estonians won the fa cup...
Sorry duncan but this is gold (I know it's just a typo but still). I believe that the two-times FA Cup winners graduated from Eton, not Eastern Europe

Estonia is in Northern Europe not Eastern.

oops, you know what i mean, besides, they may have had an influx of eastern europeans in their team

not at all mate, ive supported united for over 30 years, which is why im grateful for anything we win because ive seen the sheite weve had over the years.
the no significant history wasnt a dig mate, but any player looking to sign for a team will look at what they have achieved recently, not what was achieved 40 or 50 years ago.
as much as i hate to say but liverpool up until 3 or 4 years ago were always looked upon as contenders and pretty much certs for the champions league, whereas like i said, spurs are now the team pushing for that position

I agree with Duncan. Its not always a dig as it gets taken.
As a UTD fan I am under no illusions and can totally see why Hazard opted for chelsea.
Other times its simple economics and its who pays the most, and those with the richer owners will be favourites everytime
in my lifetime I have known spurs to be a 'cup team' but even that was with the likes of Ricky Villa, Micky Hazard etc.
They are/were a team on the up and will attract a certain kind of player, the reasons could be something as simple as living in London tbh

Would like this to be wrapped up now. Apparently a decision is "imminent". Hopefully Babbel and Babel put in a good word for us!
