That's a fair comment.

Don't really want to discuss Nixons credibility. The point is, he has reported this information, just a someone reported Mark Davies to Liverpool, people still discussed it.

It also still leaves the point; we need another defender.

My guess at who it was would be Khumalo from Spurs who has just joined PAOK on loan.

To be honest whilst getting another centre-back in is a must I think I would prefer it to be a loan signing.

If we get Mills wrapped up in the next few days then we have 3 fit senior centre-backs in Mills, Knight and Ream with Wheater back around the start of next year and Ricketts more than able to fill in if needed. Meanwhile we have Ricketts, Mears, Riley and Alonso in the full-back slots.

I'd say a young (versatile) defender on loan as cover and we're set defensively.

Its in the forward departments we need strengthening.
