Just noticed on the THFC homepage (prior to entering the site) that they have Modric modelling the 'Lillywhite' cup competition shirt (it definately wasn't on there yesterday). Surely this is DL's way of saying Hands Off!!!!
Anyway COYS!
A bold statement by Levy?

Don :
Bubbles is a real lightweight WUM wannabee.
Just a classic "broken record" . No ingenuity or skill whatsoever.
Academically, I am just observing whether tis just the Modric saga he is on, or whether he is now on the OCD road that leads to Michi-dom.
When the latter, then he joins Mich in the lonely WUM club.
At the moment, the RDBD WUM filter is not in use as such. I suspect that as the season proper starts, it may get very busy indeed ...

Just heard the latest from Harry he said the following
Luka will be on the plane , he's a really nice guy and he wont be causing us any problems , it's not in his nature to do so....
27m is a joke bid , he's worth far more than but the chairman has made it clear that he wont be sold at any price

don;t want to get to over excited but does that sound promising? We all know Luka wants to go but maybe if we can actually sit down with him and clear the bad air hopefully his attitude might change? I don't want him going chelsea or any prem club so if he has to leave it's abroad or nothing.

Really? Haven't seen that yet. Maybe Harry should cut Modric's phone lines to Croatia because every time he speaks to their press he sounds like a whining rat.
I don't see whats stopping him putting in an offical transfer request. He might lose his part of the fee but so what I'm sure Chavski would make it up to him. If he does and its rejected does it go to arbitration of some sort (despite his long and binding contract)?

Don that's what he said , Levy has never retracted anything he's said and Modrics agent has been trying to keep the peace between them

usually parties can refer a dispute to arbitration if there is an arbitration clause in their contract (or if they agree in writing to take the dispute to arbitration).

Football contracts tend to have their own rules and regs though. Is there an FA arbitration panel that oversees football disputes? I just wonder, if there is, what sort of value they might put on Ratboy. The ones I've seen announced (eg Bostock) haven't always come out in favour of the selling club.

As his agent said he is still a Spurs player so I don't see what the issue is with him being on the plane, he has as much right to be there as any other player.

fair comment. that was why i consciously included the word "usually", because i am not sure what the contractual framework is with the FA. Whatever the set up is, for an arbitration tribunal to have jurisdiction, all parties to the dispute must have given their consent. Otherwise the parties' recourse is in litigation.

thinking about it, if there is such a thing as an FA arbitration panel then it is probably the case that in granting clubs licences the FA required every club to include an arbitration agreement in all of the contracts with players. it is probably the case that if the player refuses to agree to an arbitration clause, then they can not have a contract due to the club's obligations to the FA. every players' contract for every club probably includes the same arbitration clause which states that the parties can refer to dispute to the FA for it to appoint an arbitrator or panel of arbitrators (an arbitral tribunal).
