I doubt he has made it up considering he has quoted the source.

As I said, perhaps Spence has twisted the words to make it sound more dramatic?

Here's the tweet

"Sfa will not allow rfc newco into spl says Stewart Regan"

Could have been followed by anything, could have been preceeded by anything, could be a typo, could be misinformation, could be anything

Considering not even his employers have run a story on this on their website....I'll take it with a pinch of salt
