Gylfi Sigursson
Birth Place: Iceland
Club: Hoffenheim, Germany
Age: 22 (23 in 2 months)
Price: £7m
Stats: 130 apps, 44 goals
Position - Sigurdsson is a natural attacking midfielder, and rarely plays anywhere else but behind the striker in a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1.
Gaston Ramirez
Birth place: Uruguay
Club: Bologna, Italy
Age: 21 (22 in 5 months)
Price: £16m
Stats: 86 apps, 22 goals
Position - Ramirez tends to play as an attacking midfielder, or also works well on the right where he can cut in on his left foot. He can play across the midfield in a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 system.
So who would you rather see come into the club. Sigurdsson seems to be more of a direct threat, with his freekicks being one of his main weapons. While Ramirez is much more natural at playing a pass and move game.
I honestly would rather spent the extra £10m on Ramirez, and feel he would be the perfect player for Suarez to combine with. However, I would'nt mind having both of them at the club. Sigurdsson behind Carroll, and Suarez on the left and Ramirez on the right.
What do you guys think?
Gaston Ramirez or Gylfi Sigurdsson

It would be great to get both, but I personally fear that we'll end up with neither.

this is likely.

I think neither will be here, therefore we could look like this instead -
------------------------ Reina ------------------
Johnson ----- Skrtel ------- Agger --- Enrique --
----------------------- Lucas -------------------
-- A Johnson ------ Gerrard ------- Moses ---
------------ Carroll ---------- Suarez ---------

I think neither too
I think we are going to be lucky to even get a marquee signing... though I think the owners know its required but they have had their fingers burnt and mr Rodgers will have to prove himself first!
please let me be wrong

come on, admit it....who has ever seen Ramirez play?
May be 1 or 2 games for his Country, but probably not seeing as he only has a handful of caps....or are you all subscribed to Bologna FC TV.

have to admit i haven't devonshirespur,
but heard a lot of good things about him and like a lot of them, its more potential now days than anything.
only good thing i can see in getting him is we might then have connections to Uruguayans or south american players, as Suarez and Coates are here so he would to a degree fit in straight away and language barrier wouldn't be a problem for him.
when we had Rafa we had the Spanish connection, maybe this is the best we can hope for at the moment, as they do have some good players
like others have said we will probably end up with neither sadly, but if we managed to get one or even both, well that would certainly make other clubs above us think, at least.
