Only surprise in the semis was of Delboy's departure. He is still no force on the grass. Veterans are still making hay in this British summer, 4 oldies still in the draw viz. Fed, Colonel, Kohli and Mayer.
Guys, we are going to witness history at this Wimby, very different to what we saw at Roland Garros. It was a long long time ago there were 2 Germans in the semis and the time has come to " push the button".
We are going to get 2 Germans in the semis- Kohli and Florian.
Murray will have easy ride over one dimensional and clay courter David federer, oops ferrer. Fed to get past colonel for a record 14th time.
The surprise of the day is world no. 1 shunted off centre court, surprised me, don't know about you.
Although I do not discuss much about WTA because of the grunting but I think there will be a new women champion at Wimby. Good to see Radwanska in semis. Erm where is Shreikapova? Isn't she in Siberia (edit courtsey nitb) already?

Fed would have faced Nadull had Nadull not been busy in losing to players like Blake, Ljubicic, Dodig, Giles Muller, Del Potro, Ferrer etc.
come back when rafa will win a slam from here onwards.

Im betting he is thanking his lucky stars he didnt play Nadal in some GS cos gosh it would have been more embarrasing..(not that it isnt already)

I thought Feds played well, in fact very well, yesterday. Of course, Youzhny is a guy who can make Fed look good even if he does not have a new baby, but nevertheless, from what I saw I did think Fed was doing well. He served just fine, he was mixing finesse with power well (but I definitely thought he was hitting the pacey shots well when he needed to), and I thought he hit some of his best running forehands this side of his 30th birthday.
To me this looked liked the best Fed performance I have seen since IW. He had some easy wins in the first two rounds here but he did not look nearly as convincing to me in those.
If Nole beats him while Fed is performing at a similar level I think it will be unfair to take credit away from Nole by suggesting Fed is subpar. This performance was at least par for the course for 30+ Federer.

I know one thing, Fed will bust his guts to beat Nole on Friday.
