But seriously?

Is Wenger/the Board not going to buy M'Vila because of alleged reports that he has had some temper issues or whatever?

I hope this isnt the case as I feel a bad tempered M'Vila is miles better than a happy Denilson, Ramsey or even Frimpong. We shouldnot lose out on getting a decent talent like M'Vila while still keeping these average players on our books. We have slowly become a charity club, taking care of injury-prone & utterly talentless players, who after they attain some kind of decent form demand huge wages & subsequent transfers to "bigger" clubs.

I feel we should only invest our resources in decent players(bad tempered or not) & systematically get rid of our dead weights.

I'm just saying that I'm not sure M'Vila will be a better player than Coquelin. If Coquelin was at Rennes and M'Vila was at Arsenal you'd probably want Coquelin.

I can understand your logic as M'Vila obviously was able to get more game time for a Ligue 1 side whereas Coquelin had a harder time breaking into a top 4 premier league club.

However don't forget Coquelin has played there too. I do think he will become a very good player but he is not just quite a t M'Vila's level yet and like Song he does enjoy getting forward. His natural game is not sitting in front of the back four.

Coquelin excelled in Ligue 1 at right back, I believe he kept a certain Eden Hazard quiet when he played against him.

Coquelin has fantastic skill on the ball, a wide range of accurate, weighted passing. He is able to move much quicker than most players due to his low centre of gravity mixed with very quick reactions. His sliding tackle technique has been carefully honed and somehow, I'm not sure exactly how, something about him reminds me of Thierry Henry.

I love the Coq.

But I accept your point that he doesn't like defending too much. Frankly I could see Coquelin taking Arteta's role in the future and improving it tenfold.

Coquelin is great. He's more talented than M'Vila.

That was my point about his role in the Arsenal squad, he is someone who is good defensively but likes to run forward with the ball leaving space behind.

Same goes for all our fullbacks (obviously) Song, Verm and Kosc!

M'Vila is being brought in to cover that space as it is his natural game to sit there cover and break up play. Giving our midfield more freedom and defense the cover it so badly needs

Both are good players but you are very wrong to say Coquelin is more talented than M'Vila.

Both have different attributes and both are better in certain areas than the other.
