True, but in my opinion it will be a shame if he leaves as i do rate him, and in a better squad he could be very useful. On the other hand if he goes somewhere like Huddersfield who are likely to be a lower half team, then he has completely shot himself in the foot.

His best season by far and in the highest division he's played in. If his dip in performance was due to a lack of hardwork/professionalism then maybe good he's going!

...and although 23 going on 24 isn't young as LIW rightly says, it's still about 4 years younger than the accepted age for peaking of 27/28 so he's still got time to get better, it's just a shame for him that he's not considered good enough for us right now.

I think its a shame because i think there is a good player in him, just needs to be shaken out of him.

Warnock wasnt impressed on and off the pitch by all accounts

At 23/24 he's the sort of player i'd hope we'd try and hang on to. Early stages of last season he was our best player - but seemed to drift. He showed enough in early games to indicate that in there somewhere is a good player.

All that being said, Warnock looked at him, obviously didn't rate him and so is looking to offload him. £500k seems a bit on the low side (whats the betting he moves on at some point for a lot more!) - but for now i'm still backing NW to know what he's doing.

No structure to our centre midfield last season, poor lad had no stability and quite frankly, did it all on his own. Feel sorry for the lad but we don't no is feelings or attitude

The question is do we really want to be carrying a 23 old player who we hope will get better.

If he was 19 or 20 I would understand it, and while he might peak at 27 you would at least hope for some consistancy from him now, otherwise whats the point in hanging on and hoping
