I still cant believe we have not gone for Tom Cruise who is on a free who has been released by Arsenal, he is a 2 footed left back and was highly rated by the Gooners, granted probably not good enough for them but they are a top 6 premiership club something we are not.

If you include Konch and Boyd, we are 11 players short of the squad we finished with last season. It has to be said though, with the exception of Earnie and WIlson, none of them were good enough for a team with promotion aspirations.

I am not fussed that the rest have gone, if we actually get some of the players we appear to be linked with it would be an improvement.

The current squad is not much better than the one that almost went straight back to league 1 under CC. Earnshaw is one of the best strikers in the league. Wilson was one of the best defenders and in my opinion the difference between us finishing a comfortable 3rd and scraping 6th. We have a worse central defensive pairing now than we did 2 seasons ago. Koncheski and Boyd struggled initially but grew in stature the more they played. Both players were assets and would be first team players if they were still here. Mckenna's impact when he first arrived was immense. He struggled last season, but his influence was a massive factor in turning us into contenders. If we don't replace him adequately we will suffer. If as expected, Moussi leaves us, that will be 6 players who would start the majority of games, gone. Reid has come in as a more than worthy replacement for Tyson, but the spine of our team that saw us push for a top two place in 2010 has gone. Crucial players, in crucial positions need replacing, and that's before you even mention a left back. We were two or three short last season before we let these players leave. It's nice to think that the young players will come in and get an opportunity, but we're not going to get promoted with 17/18 year olds. I'm sure there'll be the odd subs appearance here and there in the Carling cup, but we need two battle ready players for every position.

Oh no, Byrne and Rodney have left. How will we cope without them next season? Add them to Wilson's appearances last season and it's a disaster!
