Not even remotely bothered that he is going to be honest, Podolski, Giroud and Walcott/Chamberlain as the front 3 is a good strike force.
Yes he was our best player by far last year but he's the same as the rest, comes to us as nothing, we make him amazing, the same as Fabregas(i understad why Fab left as it's his hometown club which he supports which is hard to reject), Nasri and Clichy and then they all say the same thing that they want to win trophies which we all know means they want more money.
Personally sell him on for 15-20 million and strenghten the defence a bit as that is always the weak link with injuries. If we sell him to City then i would prefer 15 million and kolarov as Gibbs is always injured and Santos isn't good enough to start. Yes Koloarov isn't the best left back around but he's better then we have and he's got a powerful free kick if needed.
Then use the 15 million to sign a defender like Hummels, Subotic or Sakho to partner Vermaelen. (If he doesn't leave Barcelona for "trophies" as well.
Thanks for last season RVP but see ya

On the basis that nobody will be stumping up big money for him now, do you keep him until his contract expires in the hope he can reproduce last season's form, or do you let him go noe for whatever you can get?

He wants us to sign Kolarov and Hummels
Hummels is unrealistic, he's one of the best centre backs in Europe, plus he would take Vermaelen's place, not Koscielny's.
And Kolarov is not realistic either.

How about Vermaelen at left back and koscielny and a new centre back in the middle? probably the better option seeing as we could get more money for RVP that way

Sorry but when you even suggest Koscielny is not our best defender, your article loses all it's credibility and your opinion becomes invalid.

Why would you sign a defender to replace Koscielny? He's you best defender, and probably better than the defenders you've listed.
Also, why do we all know it means money when these players say they're leaving for trophies? All the players you named left for a club that can compete for trophies, and they achieved their goals.
I think you'll miss RVP's goals as there's no guarantee Giroud and Podolski are gonna be able to replace them. Arsenal need a quality playmaker in my opinion.

No point holding on to a player that wants to go. They'll just p|ss-perform and not give everything because they are resentful of the club and having to play when they don't want to be there. Fabregas performances dropped in his last season as he knew he was off and wasn't focused. After Robin's Euro form I can see the same thing happening.
I say we take the money now before he leaves on a free next year.

Kolarov is somehow back up to Clichy and will only play in the Carling cup, yes he would be leaving the champions but first team football would be my priority if i was Kolarov. True it is a bit ambitious but how are we going to get anywhere near what we use to be without trying to sign big players.
That's partly why RVP is going, lack of ambition to win trophies and sign big names. Atleast if we try to sign big players it would show some intent to be ambitious.

I'd hardly call Kolarov a big player. Plus, Mancini said he's in his plans, he really rates him.

You think koscielny isn't good enough to start. It is clear you either don't watch arsenal or have no football knowledge. In either situation your article is rendered useless and irrelevant.

I'm a United fan and know Koscielny is easily your best defender.
