Rohan Ricketts

Yeah i think he will he would be a good player for us but he still has to prove he wants to play for us that's why he is on trial and didn't just sign him. hopefully he has a good game and impress. Ryan Leonard (who was on trial) scored a great goal last night but is he actually any good?how did he play for the other part of the game. Anyone know?

quality......lets hope Ricketts can agree a sensible wage and grab the opportunity to put himself in the shop window for next season as one suspects he's too good for this level but his career has bombed

i feel very upbeat going into next season on the playing side with the calibre of signings made and the fact so far we have held onto our players.

Ron Martin for all his public batterings on forums should take credit for this and giving us a team we feel has a chance of promotion.

Looks like Sturrock has spent his budget wisely and if we can agree terms with ricketts and bring in another striker as back up to Corr (injuries) and Harris (age) to ensure that if the 2 main strikers breakdown we are not just left with asante crawford or blair to get goals as patterson will be long gone to allow this budget movement.

i hope Asante or Crawford can make a push through this season as both players i feel of good potential but if sturrock is publicly wanting another striker he must feel both are not fully ready and maybe the following season with some games under there belts may be our front line attack or 1 of them atleast with Harris.

I'm hoping Harris is upto 20 plus goals this season and if Corr has another one close to last season (remember 21 goals plus inuries)we could well be up there especially with goal scoring midfielders in ricketts, ferdinand, Hall etc

Think we all need a dose of reality here! Ricketts has been playing abroad for three years in some way off places, his scoring record is very poor and because he has netted a hat trick agains the mightly GWR we should be signing him up!

We have a budget (I hope!) and should not put ourselves in any position that means the players and staff remain unpaid at any time this coming season.

midlands_seasider, Ron Martin is why this club is currently languishing in the basement football that is League two. His mis handling and mis management of this club is extreme. As for giving us a team with a chance of promotion, we have signed Johnson and Harris (and N'Diaye on loan) we need a few more before I would be confident of pushing on.

Lets keep our feet on the ground, but dream of a great season!

I would say its very highly probable ricketts wont be signing judging by what i read on chris phillips twitter.

Sir Big Blue - We may have only signed 2 plus a loanee for the season, leonard will also come in and am sure another striker though possibly another loanee to cover corr and sturrock.

The main point though is that end of last season on 606 posters were saying we would lose corr, grant,ferdinand,bilel, Hall, etc but we only lost easton and for me thats a great summer as feel with Harris johnson and ndiaye we have quality additions and if we get a couple more then fantastic but we have a team that can push on from last year......this time last season we didnt recognise anyone other than granty.

Also it will be interesting to see if paterson gets a chance now he's back from oxford and 2 strikers are out. heard we in discussions with 2 players..leonard being 1 the other i guess maybe a striker so possibly tells us about paterson...just hope if he not going to figure someone takes him from us or he will rot in reserves for a year
