So now we know.
Whether RvP is a money grabber or not, whether Usmanov is a fat, corrupt with no intentions of really helping our club or not, anyone can see that the nub of the matter in this letter is that the current board, led by Silent Stan, are the ones not providing and spending money. Usmanov basically confirmed that Wenger has had his hands tied with regard to money, partly because of the stadium, but also partly because it has been the shareholders who have been walking away with fat profits.
So WOB, next time you accuse Wenger of being tight and weak for letting key players leave and buying cheap replacements, remember that it is not Wenger who is being tight, it is the board who are taking the money and using it to line the Shareholders' pockets. Wenger may be inclined against huge spending/financial doping, he may be inclined towards brining through young talent, but the reason why these preferences has been exaggerated is because he has never been given a chance to break the mould due to the stinginess of the board.

Well, he didn't really, he just said he 'believes' this to be the case. All he's really said is he's not in the WOB, as you call it, he blames the board for all the problems. Which strangely is exactly who he stands to benefit from should they lose the support of the clubs fans. Just saying.

I've been saying this for a couple of years. Wenger is a great manager and has been doing exceptionally well to keep you at a high level despite the owners not giving him the funds to compete with those around him.
Wenger also doesn't negotiate contracts and for some reason your club seems to drag its heels into the last year of a players' contract before acting on it.

Would you come out to your boss and say things like that? You'd be sacked. If not right away, the wheels would be in motion.
In fact I could see Wenger going if he doesn't get reassurances from the board.
